SRM,a copycat family

Camp Bowie from the Boker Magnum range in 440A.

Boker, Spyderco, CRKT, and Benchmade Redclass knives were all made by SRM. Boker and CRKT actually re-brand SRM knives, then mark up the prices $10-$15... The Tenacious line was made by SRM. A lot of people who gawk at the quality and price of the Tenacious would never touch anything labeled SRM, even though they make them. The only copies I were impressed by were the Kershaw Chive and Emerson Commander, which I've never even seen. It's possible they were photo shopped.

those two really exist, and I'm sure about this

Hmmmm... Crazy. Oh well  I guess they gotta steal original designs to make money. Sad because some Chinese made knives are of good quality, and if they didn't have such a bad rep with counterfeiting, they'd probably have reputable brands.

I guess since you live in China, you have first hand experience. Now tell them to stop with the DDOS attacks of BF, I wanna look at knife porn!

I originally wasn't going to touch this thread with a 10 foot pole, but then I realized that my 10 foot pole was a Chinese knockoff of an authentic American made 10 foot pole.

This may be surprising, but this actually raises my opinion of SRM. I used to think when I looked at a lot of the knives "what moron came up with that blade shape?"

Turns out it was Mantis, not SRM.
So, really, SRM makes some crap choices for copying knives.

I'm confused by this thread. What conclusion are we supposed to take away or what point are you trying to make?

Me too to this. Is there some news here I'm missing, or some point? Also, you skipped a bunch of low-end Boker models made by SRM, IIRC.

best part about pointless threads is how pointless posts keep bumping them to the top because it is critically important to let everyone know how pointless they are.

Actually Mr. TrollBeefs post before mine was posted the same minute mine was so it really didn't matter that I posted because it would have been at the top anyway.

And in my opinion, your post post is just as pointless as mine was seeing that you thought it was "critically important" to let me know "How pointless I am" by posting my pointless post.

Interesting post, +1 OP

Dont see the need for threadcrapping, just enjoy the knife porn :)

That SRM steals designs. It is in the thread title, shown by the comparison pics, and highlighted when the thread starter said that SRM does not make the OEM knives in many instances when they are selling a similar pattern. How that is supposed to be shilling or trolling is beyond me. BF does not allow the sale or advertising of knockoffs, and educating people of such practices seems hardly out of place, especially when a few manufacturers are specifically asking the community to help them identify knockoffs. The best that can be said for what SRM does is that they at least don't copy the trade dress of names and symbols when they steal the designs. I think a few are also no worse than what SOG or Gerber has done before in copying the Endura, Delica, and M16, but that is still bad enough.

There are threads and individual posts by many members who praise, trade, and sell their SRM knives. Most are not copies, but an example of the copies that do exist might help sway a few to buy the legitimate models and allow the designers to profit from their effort. I don't know if the OP had any other intent, but he doesn't seem to be doing anything too helpful for getting SRMs sold in favor of the originals.
