When it gets closer we can make some kind of arrangements. I’ll PM you my number.I'm 6'4" 250 medium brown skin with glasses, I'm hard to miss. Maybe I'll wear my black knives matter shirt.
10 minutes?!!!I live in Arnold, so it’s 10 minute drive for me.
I guess the closer it gets we can figure something out. I promise I won’t follow you around like a lost puppy.![]()
Let me know if you need a ride from the train station to the knife show.I'm coming! Just going to take the train. Since it's at a hotel, I'll just stay there and not worry about needing a car.
Thanks, but I don't get in til 10:30pm Friday. I can Uber it.Let me know if you need a ride from the train station to the knife show.
Cool. If something changes feel free to reach out. Thanks, but I don't get in til 10:30pm Friday. I can Uber it.
In addition to all the custom makers, there will also be several guys there selling high end customs and factory knives from well known makers and manufacturers.Ok, so this is my first knife show, and I'm getting excited. I always buy a new knife in August as it is my Bladeforums anniversary, 9 years this month.
What should I be looking for? I generally like modern folders with hole opener or flipper/front flipper. I also am a big fan of OTF's.
The flyer only lists the custom makers that will be there, of which I'm not familiar with any of them.
Also, do I just pay the entry fee at the door?
I’m the same way. I’ll take a lap around the show floor and almost always see something the second time around that I didn’t see the first time.I doubt you will have any trouble finding somethings! I usually don’t buy the first knife that jumps out at me. I look at a few tables first.
Only saw forged in fire a few times, and that was years ago.In addition to all the custom makers, there will also be several guys there selling high end customs and factory knives from well known makers and manufacturers.
If you’re after OTF knives or anything automatic, Adams International Knifeworks always has plenty to choose from.
Of the custom makers that will be in attendance, I think 5-6 have been on Forged In Fire. You might not know the name, but perhaps you’ll recognize the face.
Yes, there will be a table at the entry door and someone taking payment of $5.00
I don’t think you’ll have a problem finding something you’re after.Only saw forged in fire a few times, and that was years ago.
I'm hoping to pick up a Microtech Jedi Master and/or a custom folder. We shall see. I'm keeping my wallet as fat as possible for the event.
Yup, I'm getting excited. I love traveling by train. Not that there is much to see in Central Illinois, especially that I haven't seen before. It's a boring drive and shoehorning myself into an airplane seat sucks. I'm 6'4" 250lbs and all legs. I booked business class on my train. Just relax and enjoy the ride.Less than 2 weeks away!
