ST. LOUIS KNIFE SHOW 🔪

If something interesting from Olamic is there, I may buy one. Specifically a Wayfarer compact.

Yup, I'm getting excited. I love traveling by train. Not that there is much to see in Central Illinois, especially that I haven't seen before. It's a boring drive and shoehorning myself into an airplane seat sucks. I'm 6'4" 250lbs and all legs. I booked business class on my train. Just relax and enjoy the ride.

I have been saving my paycheck too. Very likely I'll break my normal $300 limit.

Is it advisable to bring cash? Or are most booths taking credit now.

Oh, and is it possible to buy unregistered knives in the parking lot? 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Here’s to safe travels.

I’d say cash is king because some of the individual vendors selling factory or custom knives by other makers might work with you on price if you have cash. A lot of the tables that sell at the shows and also have an online presence, as well as some of the custom makers do take credit/PayPal/Venmo etc.

Certainly is. Lol

Thanks for the info. I'll bring my life savings in cash.

Is there any trading going on?? Or should I just leave my goodies at home?
I know that several of the dealers that aren’t custom makers will trade knives, or take a
knife + cash in some cases.

Some dealers will even buy knives from you if you have something specific they’re looking for.

Depends on what end of the city your in I suppose...

🤣
I mean, my local gun stores have manufacturer reps days, but otherwise not near me in the nw suburbs. Maybe if I went to Humboldt park some of the gangbangers might have a knife show, though doubtful in a friendly way.

I have heard that the south side of Chicago is the baddest part of town, and watch out for that Leroy Brown.
