What's the proper name for a plate on the end of the handle?

Pommel or butt cap works from what I usually read when talking about fixed blades. Some might call it a strike plate as well but that’s referencing more toward what it would be used for rather than naming the part I guess.

Thanks to everyone for their comments! It’s a beauty and Russ certainly makes a very fine knife!

No, never carried on the belt as such, I need to get a better sheath made. Has been lightly used though
