Thanks Alan! That 77 is the only knife I've purchased on the after market and IMO it was worth it. Only mentioned it to show how much I think of it.

I've never been a fan of stag handles with a big bulge in them but this Schatt & Morgan in Red Elk feels so good in the hand that it has completely changed my perspective.

I had the exact same experience! Those are great and beautiful knives, and I love pocketing mine whenever I go to the mountains, which for some reason I think should be its natural habitat. They will clean a trout nicely.

Sir I must say that is awesome. I love the end plate on the handle, never seen that except for on the large folding pruners. What's the proper name for a plate on the end of the handle?
