A 4" Weidmannsheil Copperhead locking knife with interesting blade combo Spear/small Wharncliffe and ingenious locking system. The Master is unlocked by squeezing the minor blade towards the spring. The Stag is untextured smooth polish or 3rd cut as it's sometimes called. But it certainly has its own attractions. Spear is deeply stamped.

Thanks, Will

Very good looking. I like the blades, the stag and the stamping.

Thank you Alan. I've had it some years now about 10, and haven't used it but I like to take it out every so often as it's an unusual item.

I just got this one directly from PJ Tomes. He is truly a master bladesmith, and a master at working stag. And a super nice guy to top it off! The stag looks and feels incredible on this, and the forged 52100 blade is perfect.

That's a sensation. Beautiful lines, choice Stag, are those hammered pins and is it a lock back? What's the size please? When a knife is really correct, like this one, it generates admiration but it also produces a very satisfying, tranquil effect - the effect of beauty :cool:

The post by Will Power Will Power reminded me of an unusual Weidmannsheil folder that I recently carried hunting. The curved "hooks" at the head of the knife are shell pullers for extracting shotgun shells that are stuck in the breech end of the barrel of a break open shotgun. On this knife, one puller is marked for 12 gauge and the other for 16 gauge.

Thank you, Its very nice. hammered pins, just under 4.5 closed, and PJ's midlock that locks up tight as a drum. Not a hint of play and centered blade. His wish is for me to use it and I will. I cant wait to see how this steel performs and takes patina. He also included the little advertising slipjoint as a gift which is a little custom marvel as well. Great experience with PJ all around.

Thanks ccs. I'm very struck with it, but I'd be after a smaller version, but no doubt he could be persuaded of that too. The advert slip joint is a very amusing addition too, shows a great man at work
