Thats the GEC 2011 Bladeforums Stag Jack 77. A previous owner modified it with an EO notch.

The Bladeforums stamp is kind of shined out in that picture. 20190713_132156.jpg

Manu Laplace at 1515, Thiers, France from his "Africa" collection: 19C27 Sandvik stainless with "PVD" ceramic applique, Buffalo horn, Reindeer stag, 3.25" blade/8" overall, the two-piece "Wild Life" spacer is engraved outside and in and also bears the maker's signature "Manu" on the butt spacer section inside. I bought it last week in Paris.

Turns out my rotation schedule assigned me NO stag knives this week! :(
But next week, one of my canoes will be a stag Rough Rider, so I'll post that NOW in anticipation! :D

    - thank you..!

It is a strange thing.........I was never particularly bothered by Stag as a handle material for a long time, thinking it was rather dull and somewhat vin ordinaire. Having grown up with Stag as a common handle material, guess I was always happier and seeking newer materials, especially with a penchant for exotic woods.

However, as my collecting and focus for knives has changed and evolved, particularly the last three or so years, my fondness for good Stag has grown too, particularly so when there is some popcorn showing.

Bought these pieces 7 years ago from Vince @VCM3 and still haven't done anything with them - they're a particular diameter so will need to go on the right knife, but they should look good I hope...

    .....bon weekend all
