Thanks, guys. Charlie, GOIN'S ENCYCLOPEDIA notes that both Weidmannsheil and Weidmanns Heil are trademarks of W. Weltersbach, Solingen, and that the phrase means "good hunting. The firm was around from 1892 until 1994.

The bolster features shell pullers in 16 and 12 gauge for pulling stuck shotgun shells from breech loading guns. I have several such guns, but have yet to try these. I'll report when I do so.

Two stag-handled German autos:





THE top one is like new and is only marked ROSTFREI. The bottom one shows signs of use and wear and is marked KAUFMANN SOLINGEN GERMANY. The Kaufmann has an unusual release mechanism with the button on the bottom of the handle. Thanks for watching! T-A
