Man it takes some time get that 440C sharp the first time but once it's good to go, it's a beautiful thing. I'm glad you've already made it your own!

Horrible pic, but here's a Silver Stag in D2.

The worst part is the tip, how the blade stock thickens. Getting that part sharp to the same degree takes longer than the rest of the blade. Worth it though, this is some good 440C.

that might be from the Philippines, in which case it would be one of the coins minted in the only US mint outside the US

Yessir currency my friend :) I love the federal shield with the eagle outstretched on the pile/tails side of this coin. Since you first sent me that piece of silver Paul, I've since accumulated two mercury times, two barber halves, & one morgan dollar for my silver + this 1 dollar coin from the US/Phillipines :)

Correctomundo mrknife, the United States struck coins for the Philippines while the latter was their colony. Coins were minted at the Philadelphia, San Francisco, Denver, and (after it was opened in 1920) Manila mints. Most of the coins struck at the Manila mint occurred after 1925.

Mine was struck in San Francisco bearing the S mark
