Anthony...stunning Ruana's...fantastic!, as well as those Cripple Creeks!!
Mike, those Henckles are just stunnimg examples of what knives should be!!...and that Carving set is one of the better ones that I have seen.
Some beautiful stag in this thread. I don't have anything that comes even close, but here are three: Bark River Mini Canadian, Tidioute harness jack, and Hans Weinmueller swayback jack.
They all looks very nice, I am sure better lighting would make the stag stand out. I like the SWJ with the screws instead of pins and the lined bolsters,
Mike
Thanks for the encouragement. I'm new to custom traditionals and still without a focus for my collection. And my picure-taking skills are lousy.
This swayback was the first knife done by Hans in that pattern. I like his less traditional approach to traditionals, the slipjoints having a quite unique identity that's easily recognizable. I'm planning to get another one this year at the PKA shown in Denver, if he comes again.
Found a Brown & Bigelow stag carver set in a flea market. It was pretty pitiful looking with dried out, dirty looking stag. It seems to be coming around:
Zombie thread, arise!!! I thought I'd bump this, because it contains so many beauties. Can't do that without adding a few of my own, so here's my humble contribution. I've only become interested in stag very recently, so I don't have a ton of knives with stag, but I have some more on the way, and there will definitely be more coming after those. I think stag's my favorite at the moment. I still like ebony and yella though.
