Original handle was melted in house fire I got it for 10$ and put this elk stag handle on. Especially proud of the heart... The dust from cutting the antler mixed with epoxy. Extra proud now just saw on-line that gerber made a limited number of stag bowies selling for 2-400$ mine looks better and I got 10$ and maby 10 hours work in it LOL happy happy happy!

. Two I made a long time ago. The Bowie is stag from my first bow steel from a leaf spring from my camaro ( removed to lower it ) the fillet made from band saw blade from the mill that was my first job and the stag from my first gun hunt.

Yeah, I am a sucker for stag handles/grips/stocks! Will try and dig out a few of mine.

Finally picked up a piece of red stag from GEC. Now I can't bring myself to use it

Wow that's beautiful. I'll use it if you don't ;) BTW, does anyone care to enlighten me about Red Stag? Is it a 'species' or is it just regular stag dyed red?

It is usually sambar stag dyed red. Here are a couple of nice ones, in addition to markpmc's beautiful Conductor.

Yes, markpmc, the lockback is darn near perfect, probably my favorite GEC. I love the knobby stag.

One of my better stag covered pieces, this one from Craig Brewer. Integral construction with a bushing!
Fabulous stag and terrific craftsmanship.
