Stay away from MFCknifenTOOL (aka Matt Freeman NOT "CharlieMike")

Before I saw lone wolf let him know so did I via pm here is his message back to me

That attitude says a lot IMO. If it were really an incident I know I'd be in here stating my case not saying nothing I can do its in PayPals hands .

Op what's this persons real name ? Just so we know who to avoid in the future . He sells other places

WHAT?!
What Kind of asinine comment is that? Im so confused why he would wait for a PayPal Dispute, when he can has it out with the other member?

Because in some cases the seller at the other end of a claim filed against him hopes that the issuer of the claim loses based on some technicality. In this case it seems that this seller is acting very foolishly and if everything that the buyer claims to be correct and true, the seller will lose this case. The seller may have won such a case in the past which may have lead to his emboldened approach to this issue. For those who do not know, a case double jeopardy still is possible if you had paid by a credit card (instead of say the balance of cash funds in your PayPal) because even if PayPal somehow rules in the favor of the seller, you as the buyer can still start a claim through your card issuer.

To the sellers out there who are both honest and trustworthy:

I have fallen victim to the reverse case of the above whereby the buyer after several weeks or even months had claimed that their CC was used fraudulently and that they had never ordered such and such item (we sell items online unrelated to this hobby but we do accept PayPal). As long as you can prove to PayPal that the item was shipped to the buyer's PP confirmed address, you as the seller will be in the clear but this did not stop the said buyers to exercise that double jeopardy and initiate a claim through their own CC. All that said, if you as a seller who accepts PP have a very good account standing with PP and have shipped to the PP confirmed address, PayPal will end up eating the loss if the said Credit Card Co does not let go of a frivolous claim and in most cases PP will shut down that buyer's PP account.

Just giving some of you the other side of the coin, FWIW!

Hey Chief, I came in peace!

As far as that knife is concerned there is no recourse with PP, the CC Co or any other transactional institution involved. The victim in this case needs to compile evidence and go after his trading partner for mail fraud and "theft". Very serious charges indeed so to tread carefully but with the conviction and the resolve to see this through. Other ramifications will be for this seller to lose his privileges both on here and potentially on similar hobby forums.

There was no anger in that post not at all was just asking. My last post was just saying that he could come and explain why he said he was sending the knife back and all of a sudden it was for sale on fb. That I belive should be explained

Needless to say that an amicable resolution and a seller who would be amiable toward participation and explanation would be the best way to handle this situation, but I personally didn't like the seller's message which smacks of some serious "tude"!

This entire situation sucks!!

Reading about this, There seems to be very little recourse that couldn't have been fixed by just plain honesty. I have no clue why someone would do something like this, selling a knife that obviously doesn't belong to one'self id dishonest. Plain and Simple.

How can "GoneBad" get his knife back? Local Police, can they help? I'm really curious as to the outcome of this entire situation because they may even happen to me or one of us on the forum......

I'm not the one with the knife or lost the knife I just messaged mfcknifentool to let him know a thread was started about him and he might want to come give his side the above pic was his response that's all

Looks like the guy stopped using his real name in recent listings. But appears an earlier one has it. FYI

We know the monies are in PayPal dispute but how about the knife of his you are trying to sell

Just like the knife looks like he couldn't even be arsed to send coherent sentences.

His registration email splashes his name all over the Google results. If he's not responsive for a unreasonable amount of time, post his name and contact information in this thread.

here are some screen shots from the video:

here are my blocked emails:

Here is the conversation:

still have not heard from him on Facebook or here. He took down the ad and deleted it after I confronted him. He did post a pic confirming that he had my exact knife and was trying to sell it on a group on Facebook. Here is a pic of my knife

Less than an hour later - "User not found " on I/G. This guy's a piece of work. Thanks for a good job on this Ground0. Best of luck getting your knife and $$ back.
