This is very sad, I just bought a native 5 and was looking up sketches scales, he made a scale for my domino that is just beautiful. Back when he made that for me he insisted that no payment would be collected until the scale was shipped. It really shakes my faith in humanity when a seemingly good, straight forward person can completely self destruct like this. The worst part is he could have prevented it with just a few emails to people.

For an alternative another excellent spyderco scale source is g10.it
He is romanian(?) so shipping takes a little time but I’ve ordered scales from him twice now and both were excellent. Highly recommend him.

Emailed him today Pete.got a quick response, apparently or at least he emailed me that he only did scales for knives that he owned. But he did respond quickly. So if your lucky enough to need a set that he does looks like one could get some nice scales. Still searching for someone out there that can do my Bradley.
 
Oh man, just saw this thread. This is very disappointing. I had him do some scales for me a few years back. Very happy with the work, and I recommended him highly. IIRC he was in Phoenix AZ at the time. I was in Mesa, and the turnaround was scarcely more than a week-from my dropping the knife off at the PO, till it was back in my mailbox. He didn’t ask for payment upfront, and supplied me with pics of the completed work before I PayPal’d him.

This is saddening. Reading the stories of the victims in this thread, and the ordeal to get their property back, it was the polar opposite of my experience. I am sorry for this. Just a tragedy that someone can fall so far from grace.

Ugh.
 
To all who have had a rather trying year getting their knives back from Mr.low life and to those still trying and all the folks at blade forums Merry Christmas and a happy New Year...... for Mr. Steve May coal bless your stocking.

DNA that sucks..... maybe a call to the detective in Clinton asking him if he could foreward all info to the agency that has jurisdiction in the town he now resides in. At this,point the little toad needs to have the hammer brought down on him, have never seen a crook with so much evidence pointing his to his guilt get away unscratched like this guy.Still Hoping you get your knives back.. keep up the pressure.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. The mods have now locked the thread on Heath Helton AKA Balls_tothe_Walls, so apparently they’re done with that discussion. Too bad I’m still out $600 from that guy.

Guess I’m supposed to write the grand or so owed to me between BTTW and Steve off with a smile... :)

Sucks man saw that thread closed start another one about him it’s your right. I would it’s you out the money. Hope one of these guys do the right thing.

If you ask, they'll reopen it when you have an update. The just closed it because a couple people were derailing it.

Good grief man!! I just was reading through these two threads over the last couple days....I can't even believe your rotten luck dealing with not one but two of these sleaze balls. My condolences man...I'd say you are about due for something good to happen to you.
 
There was a sale post on the exchange the other day singing the praises of SK and linking to his Instagram, I reported it and the mods didn't do anything, not sure why, has Steve made amends/reparations? Sure doesn't seem like it on here.
