I have been Lusting for one ever since I got my full sized one's! :D

I'm saying potential because I don't know if there will be enough interest in a 17"to 18" Foxy Folly to warrant a special PREPAID order.
Anyone interested enough to prepay for one or more please sign up, but please, Only If You Are Serious.
Because when it comes time for a real sign up sheet for a prepaid Foxy Folly your name will need to be on it as well.
In other words this sheet is for putting your mouth where your money will be in a later sheet.:D

Anyone Lusting after a 17" to 18" Foxy Folly the way I am enough to prepay for one or more?

Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me!

Maybe if there are enough signing up we can get them like the YCS Special Order with no habaki bolster, all steel fittings, and a Real Convexed Edge!!!!
I don't know what the price would be but $150.00 or even $175.00 seems reasonable to me. That's up to Uncle Bill, we'll have to see what he says and whether he'll agree to a special run. I'm sure praying that he will if there's enough signing up for one, or more!
I'm Lusting after one enough that I would even consider paying more, but Uncle Bill is always fair with us and usually more than fair.

Did I say I was Lusting for one of these?!?!?!? :p :D ;)

Yvsa, I would consider one if it were A WHOLE LOT lighter than the one I got. It's great as a chopper, but that wasn't really what we ordered. I'm thinking on the order of about half the weight (don't know exactly what the one I got weighs). I'd sacrifice some of the belly depth to achieve that.

Yes, I'd like all of the other things you mentioned, too. Ask for less cho-creep.

Ask for a triple fuller to control weight while maintaining blade profile. And, yes I would prepay for a; 18" tri-fullered Fox's Folly at less than 2 pounds.

I'll second the motion too. I don't have one of those big mothers, but I also would prefer 2 lb or less. The 17-18" should cut some of the weight, as would less thickness. Either Dui or Tin Chirra is cool. The only cure for HIKV is MORE!

This is funny- I'd keep the weight. But I'm just here to say Horray for the Folly and I hope it makes it, Yvsa.

The recent triple fullered two pounder should have wet some appetites.

But I'm out of this one- I have to pay for the often mentioned pistol this summer and then on to a couple khuks from a special friend.

Depends on how muchie moolah. But 17" at say 22 oz or so... and without the vampire root canal kit to keep costs down.

However, I wouldn't be able to pay for a couple o' months. :(

So if you're gonna start in the near future, I'd have to say no... Unless Uncle Bill orders extras and I'll get one later.

Sorry I was away this weekend, but count me in.

Maybe a pic, would whet some desires ( hint hint ) I'd put one but I am lowly...

Bruise, "and without the vampire root canal kit to keep costs down." can/will you clarify that a bit?

If you're talking about the fullers they are what makes the Foxy Folly IMO. Without them it would be a GRS pretty much, IMO.
I prefer the dui chiarra of the original and we need to keep it as close to the original as possible so as to Not Confuse the kamis. Y'all know how they are.

If we were to have a Tin Chiarra like the Mouse wants it would be a different khuk and would require a wooden or other material model. Let's follow the K.I.S.S. principle like was done on the YCS, OK?;)
If someone wants something else, like a Tin Chiarra, they can make a model and see if Bill would okay making it.

And it would be at least a couple of months in order to get the ball rolling on this, if it's even possible so everyone would have time to prepare, even me.:)

I also agree on the "no cho creep" Aardvark brought up and meant to add it to the original post, an oversight on my part. Also agree on the lighter weight!:D
Methinks 22 to 26 ounces would be wonderful with 24 ounces being just about perfect!
A pound and a half fits in pretty close to Munk's 28 ounce theory I think. I wouldn't care if they even went to 28 ounces but I wouldn't want one any heavier than that.
And 22 to 28 ounces would give the kamis a bit of leeway.

Keeping it as close to original would also allow the kamis to do the right thing. It's when we start throwing qualifiers at them is when we run into problems.:grumpy:
They do the Sirupatis and AKs in several sizes with no models and no problems. And IIRC Bura made an 18" Royal Banspati identical, except in size, to the 27" Royal Banspati, both extremely beautiful knives!:D
Asking for a 17" to 18" model between 22 and 28 ounces with all the above qualifiers such as all steel fittings, no cho creep, an old style bolster, and a fully convexed edge, like was done with the YCS should get us the knife we all want.

Since the kamis can make the new Jange khuk with weights from 20 ounces to 32 ounces we should be able to get what we want.

If this all comes to fruition I'll gladly change the scabbard over to a heavier beautiful brown leather with a different and flatter frog myself!!!!:D  :D

Wow- I'm surprised you listen, Yvsa, to a simp like me. Certain models can go lighter- my hanshee, for instance, at 24 oz would not benefit in my opinion from 2 or 3 more ounces, it simply would not change the cutting characteristic. This Foxy Folly is an attempt to be carryable, yet very efficient. Three fullers give strength and light weight.

I want this project to go through.

Nasty here from Heber's place with a nice full belly...

You should know I'm a sucker for specials! ;)

Ah hell I can't not have a YCS and not have a FF.

I'll want to sign on , but it will depend on how money is when it comes time.

Spot-on! Make it so! :D:D:D

You know what would be really cool too? A special VERY SIMPLE but different cho since this is Ysva baby maybe some thing ndn??

If you can wait for me to get another job, then count me in too.
the foxy in 18 would be the flagship!

Dave, I think all the Foxys were wood but not positive. Mine are wood and I prefer wood myself so I would discourage any horn ones. The Simpler The Better!:D

John, Absolutely Not! Not to be mean but read my post's above.:) Again, The Simpler The Better!:D Any changes confuse the kamis and we don't want any confusion, just a simple 17" to 18" Foxy Folly!

Dij, I believe it would be as well! I'm sure there will be time. After all uncle Bill has to agree to have it done first. But if there's enough of us like there was with the YCS I'm pretty sure he will see what can be done.:)
