Are you absolutely certain now, Dan? Which Dan am I addressing?

Is this the Dan who was in, then kinda in, then out, then kinda in, now sorta in?

Here we have the grand old man of the forum trying to get his foxy folly dream built for over a year. During the same time you were moderator and special projects guy during a time Bill said no more special projects- yet you got the two you wanted through- the Kerambit and the BDC. You did not have the dignity or basic human respect to even respond to the posts of those of us who wanted a 16" BDC- now pretty much the same model as Tora's flag ship khuk. But you didn't want one, so you didn't respond. For someone paying lip service to being a community guy, it was disgusting behavior.

The other day you hijacked a thread with picture nonsense- I asked you seriously what the picture meant- no response. But you did take the time to post a picture arguably of a man making an obsence getsture. You were having fun on your own special channel with another forumite- a classic example of your 'in' crowd and 'out' approach to people.

I can't tell whether I'm addressing a human being or the fuller brush salesman. If it's not your intention to come across as the glad hander of all time- by all means help this great old man Yvsa to do his FF- that is, if he will trust you, if he even needs you now that the hard part- getting momentum is over.

Munk,

I have been here long enough to know that several of these statements are outright unfair, as well as factually untrue from where I sit. They are also defamatory, certainly unkind, and for my money beneath you.

I won't devolve the thread into a series of polemics designed to buttress my argument, but I do think you should carefully read what you wrote here and consider whether you really meant to say each one and if you stand by these statements unconditionally.

Either way, I have no other comment to make on this post or in this thread.

Regards,

Norm

I'll take your onus of my being 'unfair' to a guy who emails himself.

Write me personally with what you consider factually untrue.

I have little interest in this topic, however; I've said what needed to be said.
This isn't from an isolated point of view.

That depends upon several things. I don't consider an undercurrent of distrust from many to a one particularly 'fair'; I would much rather get it out in the open.

I'll take the flak for that.
It certainly did me some good! I hate passive aggressiveness. I dislike Whispers. I did not whisper.
As Dan is not engaged in this dialogue, but has opted out, I can do no more to achieve anything constructive. The truth is constructive- as you are instructing myself now, are you not?
What was your 'payoff'?
We learn, but how without confrontation? Perhaps more good can come of this than you know.

There are some who simply will not communicate to Dan Koster any longer. Is this fair? What chance does Dan have with that reaction?

I have confronted Dan, he has left. I am not going to piddle around with this discussion- that would not be 'fair'. By all means write and tell me what you think! That is FAIR, completely so.

It might be best not to allow one’s personal issues, prejudices (and even meds!) color one’s postings. Addressing a fellow forumite in the manner we ourselves would prefer to be addressed would keep things even more copacetic than they are… Uncle Bill’s 18,000 + posts are diplomatic, to the point and sprinkled with humor despite his apparent trials and tribulations. :)

Some of you are upset and do not understand nor comprehend what I've said or why.

Dr Dan's advice to behave well is always good advice.

<<It might be best not to allow one’s personal issues, prejudices (and even meds!) color one’s postings>>/drdan

This however, is both vain and non professional of a physician or forumite. I would just as easily ask that you do not defend what you do not comprehend. Attacking the messenger does nothing to alter the situation.

I made a difficult decision and will live with it. This was not done lightly. I stand by my post.

I appreciate what Aardvark had to say. There is wisdom there. If I had it to do over, I would that I be kinder. However, there is time when holding back does harm not only to oneself, but to all those around whether the issues are clearly understood by the majority or not.
