D2 is a great steel for knives, don't need any skill to get sharp, and it keeps sharpness long...Thanks for the ID, Frank.
I like the slim profile; I'll bet it carries well. And I like that type of stag almost as well as the more gnarly kind. With my rudimentary sharpening skills (or lack thereof), I think I'd prefer 1095 to Queen's D2, although I've never actually had D2. It's a good-looking stockman. Same basic frame as the knife 2 spots above it?

I love the as ground blades. The bolsters have a nice brushed finish as well. No gaps. Snap is good except the punch is a little weak.Love that carhartt! How is the fit\finish on it. Looks like another one to seek out and buy!
