the Dixie’s red bone pairs nicely with the vintage Case red bone - that old Case redbone has something that most moderns don’t match up to. Here’s my oldest Case 6318 to follow along. OH

Many thanks Bruce, the GEC jigging was rather sharp with flakes coming off at first, but it got tamed down with pocket carry and rubbing down, also darkened a bit. However, as we know, vintage CASE is the yardstick of true Redbone, I cherish my two examples (Large Penknife ) .
Buddy of mine found this in a small box of knives in his late father’s things. Was pretty rough but did what I could by hand and got it cleaned up and sharp. Love cleaning up old knives for non knife freinds that find a parents knife. Sometimes they get the itch and a monster is created
