These are great knives, and in general the CSC 4” Stockman is a great pattern with really smooth action. The AAPK versions have great dark ebony wood and I’ve never seen one with a serious fit & finish issue. Congrats on grabbing that one.Just got this in the mail. AAPK 2009 Canal Street stockman. It’s a 4 inch serpentine with 440C stainless nickel silver bolsters and ebony handles. Interesting note from AAPK - The shields were obtained from Schrade Cutlery's remaining inventory after its bankruptcy in 2004. Canal street customized them & stamped AAPK onto them. If you were to remove the shield on one of these knives, you will likely find an old Schrade trade name such as "Rancher" or "Farmer" on the back side.
I don’t know much about Canal street other than Ericea42 worked there and my Canal Street BF serpentine in bocote is a stunner. For this knife, nice action, no half stops, some rubbing on the main which is weird because it doesn’t come into contact with anything that I can see. I’ll try to polish what I can without getting into the etch. Fit and finish is pretty good, some spring gaps but not bad. Bolsters seems to have gaps with liners which is new to me. Cool knife overall, and if I got the numbers right it’s 1/200 made. Sorry about the photo I was losing the light.

Wow That is a knife that tugs at my heart strings which happens to be connected to my pocket book.that is a fine looking knife Steve.
Wow! That may be the perfect configuration for a stockman. I wish these were still in production in the US.I have found that it can be a little difficult to find a stockman with a clip, sheepsfoot, and punch. It seems many come with a spay blade instead of the sheepsfoot, and I find the sheepsfoot far more practical for everyday use. Finally found one that fits the bill at a reasonable price. In great condition and the walk and talk on all three implements is outstanding. Still love Schrade. Can't find better bang for buck, in my opinion.
From what I've read on these forums, apparently the 36OT (built off of the 34OT) was only produced from 1990 to 1992. Not often you can date a Schrade that precisely. And not sure how rare these truly are, but I'm certainly happy to be the owner of one!

Thanks! And I definitely agree. There was some discussion in one of the Case threads about this configuration, but if it was offered it was a while ago and very limited. Unfortunate, because to me this arrangement is a no brainer!!Wow! That may be the perfect configuration for a stockman. I wish these were still in production in the US.
Completely agree with you gents, far easier to find a clip/sheepfoot Jackknife than to find a clip/sheepfoot/awl Stockman or Cattle Knife. OHThanks! And I definitely agree.
