Stockman Sunday picture show

An inexpensive knife, but still a safe-queen to me because it's absolutely mint. Just look at that rapier tip on the clip main! 🤩

And here we are getting picky about how to sharpen a knife... Well your factory manual confirms it. Put the blade at "about" a 20 degree angle on the stone & don't forget to oil the joints! 😉😂

Nice Schrade btw 👍

Huh ... they say "about 20°" to sharpen ...
Yet my two vintage pre-2004 Schrade knives with a factory edge (1978 - 1984 number 858, (no OT) Lumberjack and early 4 pin 8OT with a 1095 blade) came with about 11 to 13.5° per side. (not the same over the length on the blade)
(After marking with a Sharpie, I checked with my guided rod sharpener and a digital angle finder, to keep the orginal edge geometry.)

My 8OT was sharpened before I received it ... I think ... edge angle on its 3 blades was/is around 15° on average.

Nice Stockman, BTW. I love the yellow covers.

EDIT:
The paperwork for my Case 10375SS says 10 to 15°.

Completely agree with you gents, far easier to find a clip/sheepfoot Jackknife than to find a clip/sheepfoot/awl Stockman or Cattle Knife. OH
I'm not understanding why case does not make a stockman with clip/sheepsfoot or copeing with a punch because try and find one on the secondary market and you will be stymied, I have been carrying the gec 29 and can't rotate it out lately. Even a cattle with the above mentioned blade configuration would be grand.
