Love them Railsplitters! Definitely one of the knives that I regret getting rid of. Nice specimen that you have there sir!

I ended up picking up one of the premium stockmans instead. But, this was one that was on my radar when I was still shopping. May I ask how you like it? I've never had a pattern like that before which is part of what intrigued me. It has a very interesting shape, but I love the extra large sheepsfoot/coping blade and clip!!

That one does have some great looking jigging & coloring, not to mention the flow of the lines as you mentioned. It's a great looking knife, I bet it feels equally well in the hand

Thank you very much! It does fill the hand Has a nice heft to it. A biggun for sure, but a beaut. Definitely caught my eye and couldn't pass it up!

I do like the feel in hand, especially the way I tend to use it. I almost always use the sheepsfoot on my stockmans for most heavy tasks. It's the easiest to access and I find the profile most comfortable with the clip and spay in the blade well. Plus, the straight edge is very practical. I almost never use the spay unless I need something razor sharp and my other blades have dulled. So, usually delicate work where a little discomfort from the sheepsfoot isn't an issue. And, I usually reserve the clip for food prep / eating. So again, I'm not death gripping the thing where the high riding sheepsfoot might otherwise cause discomfort.

Remington called that Swell Center Cattle a "Surveyor"!! I believe they made 2, 3 and 4 bladers!!!

You're right Charlie waynorth and they are listed/referred to as "Surveyor" in LVG4 but then again, it's hard to call the box it comes in a liar.

Well, Remington Cutlery sold out their business (to PAL I believe), maybe because they got caught stttrrreettccchhhinggg the truth!! Or maybe it was Queen!!???
