So last week I got a couple of knives from KnifeandEasy and he included a stowaway, this cool little Schrade 897UH. It’s my one and only stockman and it’s been fun exploring the pattern. Thanks again Ben, very generous of you.

I carried a 34OT sometimes exclusively for years, other times splitting pocket time with a Swiss Army knife. This went on for almost 35 years. A year or so ago I grabbed my first 897UH. Had I ever run across this knife before, I think it could have easily replaced the 34OT. I know there isn’t much difference between the two, but it just seems to fit the hand a bit better.

This particular 6375 has the smoothest walk of any knife I own. It is also an example of the only 75 pattern to be released in the Pocket Worn series. Took me a few years to track down.

A group shot of my 18PU's. The two blacks are the same, except I filed the kick down on the sheepsfoot on one to make it ride a little lower. The two ambers differ in that one has a sheepsfoot and one has a spey. All have cv blades, although a couple have ss punches, except the brown bone which is all ss.
