Stolen Blade Annoyance

Adian,

We've got you covered my friend. We will issue you a shop credit good toward the original cost of your knife minus what the insurance will cover in order to make this a "no-loss" for you.

Hope this helps and it is important to note that we were contacted by numerous Busse forum members who wanted to chip in and help out! These are some great HOGs!!!

Let us know the amount and it will be done!

Mr Busse I am beyond blown away!!! I don’t even know what to say other than you guys are amazing!!!

There really are still great people and great companies still out there and this is just another example of why I’ve been a die hard Busse fan for years now! And all the Hogs, that’s just awesome!

The driver called today and it looks like they are delivery our stuff at the end of this week or the first part of next, it will not be until after that that we will be able to file a claim. So I’ll shoot you an email when I hear back regarding that!

Again, thank you!

Hey, grats on retirement and a big hell yea on the wife making Major! That's big deal
Thanks! I’m extremely proud of her and all of her hard work. It is pretty amazing to go in as a private and make Major in less than 20 years! She’s a shoe in for LtCol but she’s really thinking of retiring so she can spend more time with the kiddos before they get too old. And plus, who wouldn’t want to be retired at 42!

Yea I hadn’t been on much in the last year or so and realized when I came to post that my Gold had lapsed, so I’ll have to get that renewed next month since the 2000 mile move has been quite expensive!!! I have been keeping up with things with Busse through the FB group as time permitted.

As far as the rest, I’m retired from the Marines a little while back but my wife is still active duty so I’m following her around until she can retire in ‘24. She was promoted to Major about 18 months ago and she just finished a school at Fort Benning and we were sent to Vegas of all places.
Congrats on retirement and your wife promotion!

God knows when I finally decided to buy a quality knife, Busse was the only place I was ever going to go. Looks like they proved why again. :)

Just seeing this again.
when you get your new Busse with the shop credit, have Busse send it to me first and the sheath is on me.
when the sheath is done I will ship on to you.

Well after months of fighting with the claim people we finally were told today they were denying the claim on my blades.

They said that since we didn’t have an inventory number on the items that there was no proof that the items were missing.

This is despite the fact that we reported them missing to the head mover on the day they packed up, after he called the packers and they told us they would bring them back and never did and after me showing them pictures of the blades and sheath that was date stamped on THE day they were taken.

I can’t expressed how pissed I am at the fact that we have to deal with them stealing stuff from our homes!!! And then, to add insult to injury, denying the claim telling us that even with all that it’s not enough proof regardless of us reporting it the day it happened!!!

insurance companies whole business model is based on not honouring claims, it hurts to be stolen from by those you are supposed to be able to trust
