While I do not condone the behavior of the thieves I absolutely despise the attitude this forums members have towards them. The thief did do something wrong obviously but that doesn't make him/her evil. He must have gone through a hard life, probably as hard or harder than you guys'. Did you ever stop to consider why the thief resorted to this illegal method of obtaining the knives? Did you think that what he turned out to be today is because of himself. I can write it down sworn on my life, that he is a product of the environment and the society and not his own choice, for the most part. Noone wants to be born to poor family and have to work/steal their way up. DO NOT PRETEND you did not get the security of a loving family/person and had a harder life. Basically just dont jump to judge people. I hope the thief gets away and gets extremely lucky and makes more money than all of you combined.

Whoa, want to come teach a course at my college!? With that kind of thinking and rationale you will fit right in with some of the koo koos teaching criminal theory..... Geez, im all for not judging somebody because of their bad deeds but don't take up his/her cross for them and justify their behavior out of spite.

I would say: they were stolen not during exhibition hours... They were so many people around and it was always somebody by the knives. I passed by few times and there was that lady always by the display... I don't think there was a possibility for someone to snatch all three of them at the same time, without not being noticed by someone by the display or waiting to see and touch those particular knives...

Hmm yes that is much more likely, though much less entertaining of an idea. Though looking at your avatar, perhaps that's what you want us to believe...let me see your hands!

It's not even funny and I'm not trying to entertain anybody, it's logical... I wish they find whoever stole those knives...

I'm sorry, I was just being silly. Of course I hope they get caught, bloody hands or not. I was just trying to add a little levity to the situation. It's what I do, sometimes more or less inappropriately.

It's obviously a horribly thought out crime and I highly doubt they will be able to profit from it.

Very well said! I couldn't agree more.

Just as Ankit stated, I do NOT by any means condone theft but you snooze you lose. Let this be a lesson learned to ZT.

And what lesson is that which ZT should learn? Don't give to charity? Some men like to have sex with young boys, some like to kidnap young girls and keep them for sex slaves for years. What lessons should these victims learn? Some people like to steal really cool looking knives meant for charity. It's not their fault? They were born that way, or circumstances made them do it? Please. In a civil republic we have laws that govern lawful and decent behavior. If you choose to break these laws, society will come down on you, even in a knife forum. Never forget that ZT is the victim in this crime, ZT and potentially all of the beneficiaries of the charity. Fortunately ZT saw to it that the latter scenario did not happen. Well done ZT.

It seems to me people like d1ce and ankit255 have thief mentalities... I mean, don't you have to in order to defend this kind of behavior?

Both of their posts left me speechless and dumbfounded. Then again.... this is all criminal psychology. Sometimes you have criminals who KNOW they are doing something wrong but they do it anyways, and you have the ones who create a skewed twisted logic in their head to justify their crimes.

Well, now that is just full of win isn't it? I'm sure you will become a valuable member of the community in general with that kind of belief system.

I hope your car does not "snooze" or your credit card or your most valuable possession, you a....hole, this knife community all it has is trust and honor , something that you must know nothing about, you probably are a young fella who things come by easy but trust me ZT had to grow liked any other business and the least you can do is keep your trap shut before making comments liked that, nobody asked for your sympathy but why don't you go by their booth next time and spit at their faces. One day you might get rip off how would you like me to tell you , you snooze you loose:jerkit:

On that note, I think a month and a half of moralizing is sufficient. By the time a thread comes around to "oh please don't blame the poor misguided thieves" we are all in trouble.
