Stone Cold Shame

Some keep them pristine to sell later (look at the NIB ones for sale on the Exchange).
Some people collect them, and don't want any usage marks.

People collect and store Buck knives and low to mid-range Spydercos also, and they are meant to be user knives too.

I can understand collecting buck knives, because use brass and other things that look classy.
Knives don't have to be expensive to be collected, but probably should use materials that easily show wear ( knives often get collected because people don't want to tarnish them ) g10, frn...ect are purely meant for use because they're durable and don't show wear
( now that I think about it it might be Worth saving one of these broken skulls because they may not be produced for long ).

Is there a Taiwan knife out there that is collectible? Honest question.

Yes.
Ever check out a Spyderco Tuff?
How about the Spyderco K2?

The folks in Taiwan can make one hell of a knife...including ones that command hefty prices on the primary and secondary markets.

The Cold Steel Large Espada is pretty snazzy too, the version with the aluminum frame.

Look at all the Spyderco models made in Taichung.

The fit and finish and attention to detail is breath taking on alot of these models.

I have a turd for sale that was taken in Taiwan or China I cant remember. Some of Blue, Green Tan and Brown are still available. I named them Bowl Crusher, :)

China and Taiwan are two different places. I don't know about China, but Taiwanese manufacturers make knives that often outdo a high number of US-made knives in terms of materials and workmanship. But by all means, continue to believe otherwise...

Not to mention the fact that Taiwan is a free market country while China is not.

Got a pink one since all the other dam colors where gone.

Secretly wanted pink anyways.;)

Hahahaha that's brutal!! XD

It's all good. Buy what you like. I'm sure they build good knives.

Does it have CTS XHP with a tri ad lock? Classic buck 110 lines with a dlc coated 4in blade?
Slim peelply g10 with linerless construction with a 3.1oz weight with ambi. Tip up carry?

If so I'll take two bowl crushers please

Put Richard Simmons name on there two while you at it :D

I would do that but still use it.
Why would anyone put a cold steel knife in a safe ?
That's like putting a leatherman or mora in a safe
Cold steel makes a users folder, so why do they cater their advertising to mall ninjas ?

( if any of you watch America's got talent, there was this guy a couple years ago called dustins dojo, and he's the exact type of person who cold steel entices with their videos )

Hahaha Ouch! sick burn!

Man, what great knives these actually are.

Flawless tri-ad lockup, Emerson-grippy G10, very slim profile, really nice colors (I like the grey one the best), ridiculously sharp edges, and they're well-centered and smooth out of the box. Very very nice.

(Note: There's some dust on some of the knives in the pictures. They arrived in immaculate condition and that table is like a dust factory.)

Still doing the whole lefty clip & righty clip system, though, which is just silly.

The writing doesn't seem nearly as obnoxious in person, and the clip point is just wonderful. I'll probably keep the white one and send it to someone to put a swedge on either side of the clip and smooth out the G10 to a nice even polish.

Or I could just skip the swedge and sand it down myself. Either way, wonderful knives even at regular price.

Thanks for sharing Comeuppance.

Dang it, I should have bought two! That Olive drab looks sweet!

Thanks again for the heads up :)

Agree 110%

I also dig the white/grey one a lot.

Never thought I'd love this scale colour so much!
BTW, I'd really like to see the sharpened swedge, I was thinking of doing it to my BS, but I am no expert in grinding and sharpening.

here is a quick review I made.

There also a size comparison to an endura and a pm2

CTS XHP with a full flat grind is great stuff.

Would somebody who buys one please put it in with other knives, and set up a video camera to see if the Stone Cold one starts tossing the others out of the drawer? You could maybe put a chair from a dollhouse in there, give it something to use.

Note: I will not be responsible for scuffing or damage due to placing the rasslin' knife in the drawer with other knives.
