They haven't dropped them, they're currently sold out.

I'm considering getting one, even though I'd prefer it without the Broken Skull logo. Truthfully, I don't care all that much about the logo. But I can understand why, for some, it would be a deal-breaker. Everybody's different; to each his own.

I like the concept of it but don't like the blade shape. The straight section runs too long for the blade length for my tastes. I'd rather see it start curving after about 2-2.5" of blade length to put a bit more belly width on it.

The ffg throws off the proportions I think. If it had a rounded spine or a swedge I think it'd be a lot better looking, but it'd also be more expensive.
 
When I first hear about the broken skull folder I didn't really like how it looked so I moved on and didn't think about it. But after this thread I'm noticing how darn well designed it really seems in many ways. As far as the whole broken skull theme goes, I'm not a fan and wouldn't want that on my knife, especially if I ever had to face a jury with it. But I'd probly just sand that off. I kinda want one now[emoji2]
 
If I bought one of those I'd throw diamondback patttern lanyard with skull bead onto it:emot-yarr:

As a user knife though, I'd rather it have a stonewashed blade/ pocket clip and an intl orange handle with no writing on the blade.
I'm probably the only one who loves the idea of a stone cold knife, and the fact that they didn't go all out with snakeskin handles with a big skull on them really says something ( that it's designed as a knife first, and celebrity merchandise second )

What would you guys think if the blade merely said broken skull ( not knowing it was Austin related ) ?
 
It says what it says. Either buy one now or hope it flops and get a deal. Maybe they'll make a steril version. Who cares anyway. It's not like your paying for the pinnacle of production knives that fail miserably.
 
It is. On my 2nd day of EDC, I find it even "slicier" than my AK47, and that's a blade known for its cutting ability...

DLC Coating on both is excellent, also worth mentioning. It doesn't go away with anything I've thrown at it yet.

pocket clip is said to be typically cold steel, maybe even a bit worse and that is almost a deal killer for me.
