Funny. I hardly remember the cartoon. Although I’m sure I watched it at some point.

My buddies and I were enthusiastically military oriented. So we used him “in combat” with other “action figures.”

Also involved in Roco Mini Tanks, and larger plastic armored vehicles, aircraft, and ships. Very normal for an American kid in the early 1960’s.

For me, it was the accessories (cool weapons!!!), the degrees of body articulation, the build quality, etc... I didn't care necessarily who they were (since I didn't get to watch the cartoon), but they were a great size to play with.

Big enough to have fun, to shoot at with toy guns that fired those semi-translucent orange suction cup darts, to put in our other vehicle toys...
Small enough to be able to easily bring 2-3 with me wherever I went... To friends' house, etc. Just stash it in your pocket or book bag...
