You guys are all freakin' snipers. I can tell. :D

I don't need the scope, but I sure like the peace of mind it provides.

Some hunters have ethics. :p

I use this...

To get these...

In less than 3 minutes of shooting... :D

The scope helps me pick the pigs out from between the cows legs when things get a little 'hectic'...

And yeah, GF - It's a .308 :D

This is my rifle, it is the only one I've used to kill a deer. Although it was scope and Sage free at the time.

I think it is normal to have ammo..what good is the gun if there is no ammo...might as well go back to chunking rocks... the bad ..more blades need to be in the picture ...

Darn!! I'm starting to feel oddly ... undergunned.

Not in the pistol category. Got that plenty covered.

But I'm starting to feel like a Democrat in the long gun category. :grumpy:

I'm just jackin ya Guyon!
I've got a 2x 9000L that I have considered using on my 336SS. I've had it mounted and it's fast as snot, but it doesn't feel the same as a ring or blade.

Your ok man.... My pile large pistol primers is bigger than that. I have the makings for 35,000 rounds of 45 ACP..that is only one caliber. Last time I bought ammo for 3006 was when the koren surplus was all the rage. It came on a pallet.

I know folks here are just cracking my balls. When I first got that rifle, I shot it with just the factory sights. Then, on the advice of a family member, I actually put those see-through rings and a big old honkin' 3-9x40 that you see on so many lever guns. Mine held up fine despite all the predictions of loss-of-zero, but I was careful not to bump it. Shot a deer with it just fine like that. However, it was always too bulky and off-balance, so I wound up replacing it with something more streamline. I really like this little Leupold on there. Balances better and less worry about losing my zero.

Strange.......you should stick with one round for each type range weapon and the same caliber for each type, pistol, rifle, and shotgun.

You guys don't hunt, do you? It's not all about a SHTF scenario.

Apparently they don't collect, either. I have firearms in the following calibers:

.22 LR
.32 ACP
9mm
10mm
.45ACP
.38 Special
.357 Magnum
.44 Magnum
.22 Hornet
.25-06
.270 Winchester
6.5x54 Mannlicher-Schoenauer
6.5x55 Swede
7x57R
7x65R
7.65x54 Argentine
.30-40 Krag-Jorgenson
.30-06
.308 Winchester
8x57 Mauser
.375 H&H
12 gauge

Life with just a few limited calibers would be too boring.

Don't feel bad, OP -

You can always move to Texas... :D

But, it sure does take a long time to fill the sandbags... I'm getting tired of that...

Well, look at it this way. If the social order goes to pot and it's every man for himself, you've considerably upped your odds of finding usable ammo. :p

Buzzards are BIG in TEXAS!!!!! :D

Had just taken the T&E off for some free-fire before the photo...

I think he is guarding our southern border. :p

I'm afraid THAT may be a lost cause... of course, I COULD just aim 'OUT' and have the same affect... as in the famous words of Chesty Puller "So they've got us surrounded, good! Now we can fire in any direction, those b*****ds won't get away this time!" :D
