First.. I was excited and went to claim it! Then 10 got there A SECOND before me and I was like awwwww. Then I was excited for 10! Then I read what happened and was like awwww, again! I can't take the emotional rollercoaster!

Seems we need to remind people that “or best offer” is typically meant to mean “best of the offers made below asking”. Someone claiming they’ll pay your asking price should be an automatic sale and accepting an offer should also be a sale. Now everyone knows how you operate, so all isn’t a loss... at least for the wider audience.
 
Alright everyone. This is the last I’m participating in this.

I legitimately didn’t know what what a huge violation of forum protocol taking a higher offer was. Now If I had agreed to a deal and backed out (which was not the case)? That I can see as an obvious breach and shitty thing to do.

It would have been nice if someone had simply informed me of my transgression so I could have attempted to make it right.

Instead the “community” was quick to attack and start questioning my “self respect” and honor, instead of educating in a neutral way. I think that’s more telling than anything else.

This was evidently a bad decision based on ignorance.
I’d encourage you all to give people the benefit of the doubt. You never know why people are selling knives on here or who they actually are.
