can anybody tell me why these knives are flying out the shelves ,and being bought up in seconds off internet sites. i have noticed that people are asking crazy prices ,and people are actually paying it....is this a speculation thing with collectors cause they closed down shop ?

Yes
I'd use caution and patience- there are still some reasonable deals now, and I would expect better deals in the future.

A wild guess, They might have fabricated an entire story labeled "25 and out" where they duped people into thinking they were closing strider knives. I know, I know, these honorable guys wouldn't do such a thing. That is my guess and I am sticking to it :D

yeah seen a bunch of these threads lately.......so im in on this one.

we all know the schemes being played and people are participating. so be it.......

op better grab one before they are all gone...:)

Seems like a artificial crisis. I'm waiting for the announcement that:

"due to the outpouring of love and cries of "don't go" from all of our fans and the community we serve, we have realized that we must continue our vital mission"

Then I still won't buy one.

Short supply always brings higher prices.
It's happened before, look at the ridiculous prices some of the LE Zero Tolerance bring. Hinderer's were the same way when they were in short supply.

The only thing good about these knives for the price point, which are known to get lock rock and blade play is the lifetime warranty will take care of these common issues. Why would people buy into them if they are going out of business......no business, no warranty.......Are they buying Strider safe queens?

Hard to argue with this.

This + it was never a great company to buy from in the first place from what I've read on this site.
