Strider knives

A wild guess, They might have fabricated an entire story labeled "25 and out" where they duped people into thinking they were closing strider knives. I know, I know, these honorable guys wouldn't do such a thing. That is my guess and I am sticking to it :D

It's statements like this that continue to cost you in your nomination for president of the Mick Strider Fan Club. :)
Starting to look more like a 25 years and I don't want to split the money with Duane any more story.

Or it could also be "after 25 years im sick of Duane bastardizing some of my designs and calling them dwyer customs". :D

Fixed that for ya
I totally disagree. Ive seen some dwyer customs that to me look like he took a stock strider and removed random bits here or there and called it a custom. Im sorry ive met Duane. He is a cool guy. But i have yet to see a knife from him that i feel would be viewed with the same prestige if it had any other name attached to it.

to each their own, I actually like them because they look leaner, kind of a change of the general gutshovel aesthetics popular in Studio Strider :)

Which one is Duane again? Is he the "I was totally a specops sniper, I swear" one, or the "I was a black ops commando tasked to steal a car" one? I mix these ultra-honorable fellows up sometimes . . .

I want you all to note how the detent ball doesn't have a complete track on the blade tang.

When you close it, the lock bar scrapes the blade midway through the arc.

It left DDC that way.

I swear I can't make this shit up.

bastardized over 3 generations – yet quite a unique piece, with a bit of Ernie onto it!
There's is a lot of industry icons DNA onto that piece, the most obvious being CM's funny custom white etching. Jeezus!

I see Emerson's disk thingy, CRK bushing, Strider pivot & Clip, and Hoback scales.

Charlie Mike Charlie Mike could you radius the tang to prevent it from contacting the lockbar? What knife did this start as? I like the improvements.

Started as a JR10.

There literally isn't any blade tang for the detent ball to ride on midway throough the arc.

Horrible design.

Also... Look how short the screw is for the small standoff on the butt... Very small standoff with very little screw thread contact.

"man, we was really gonna quit then a secret black ops government agency flew in a fleet of helos to my bug out camp and over some burbon me and Mike Pence decided..." :)

Honestly, I don't really care if they open or close. I like my one remaining SMF OK, but don't care to ever buy anything from them again. Seems like most of the dudes who rage about his stolen valor thing didn't even serve. Some vets are mad, some aren't, there are a lot of BS and exaggerations told by dudes in the military, so lots of us are used to it. What many people don't consider is they never look up the history on who makes their (any other product in existence) and many of them have terrible business practices as well, like the country that makes the devices we are typing on at this moment.

No big loss if Strider quits anyway, there are plenty of other knives in the sea. I have a new found like Emerson CQC-7 in my pocket right now. We got Spyderco, ZT...
What is most taxing, to me, is all the drama associated with Strider. It would be great for that to quit, no matter what it took with his company.
