That being said , this has proved to be a very informative and interesting thread. I'm happy to have heard from everyone.

I still like the looks and design of Striders. I held a couple today. They have a nice (but surprisingly light) feel . But for the $400 they are asking , I have found other knives from other companies that I like better.

I knew the thread would do this from post 1 :p.

Both examples I have had from strider were freaking awesome and I LOVED THEM, I traded them off to try other stuff, now I want a strider again, this time CC. They have rock solid locks, excellent fit and finish, amazing ergos, and are surprisingly thin behind the edge (my 3/4 ground SnG was 0.020 behind the edge, thats 0.002 thinner than my Sebenza ootb)

dont worry, you wont be putting a dime in his pocket anyway, strider is a small company, it doesnt make enough money to pay Mick himself, He makes his money off customs

Really? Why on Earth is the company making knives, if not to make money? For the good of the community? You know why businesses exist, right?
 
So, how many people that have no problem getting a Strider, with full knowledge of the owners' histories, would buy a Dalton?


If the only thing that matters is the knife, and the quality of said knife, why not? Is stolen valor really any better than making knives with Aryan Brotherhood symbols on them? I mean, all of that is in the past, right? You wouldn't HAVE to buy a Dalton with a AB clover or Nazi eagle holding an iron cross on it. Who cares what Rob Dalton did in the past, right?






Personally, I'll keep buying from companies that don't have such issues. There are a few out there. If Mr. Burger decides to say "Look, I'm not actually a former high-speed operator special SEAL Delta badass, I was a douchebag for lying about it." maybe they will be more appealing to me.

I don't know and I'm interested, not that I have any Daltons.

A logical fallacy is a fallacy in regard to logic. I can continue to spell things out for you, if you'd like. This entire thing is an exercise in futility. I am almost of the mind that OP knew exactly what he was doing in starting this thread. Most of the time when people attempt-mistakenly or on purpose-to cart in the dead horse, people direct them to the search function. Too bad that didn't happen in this situation. All of you self-righteous kiddies that, again, continue to dodge quality questions can have this lost thread while I go use my stolen honor and car jacking wrought knives.
