Strider Opinions

I am guessing the Strider gang does not show up at knife shows. The picket lines must be huge in front of their table....

The last two shows I attended(Plaza Custom Show), Mick and Duane both showed up. The only line forming, was people trying to get a look at the new knives and possibly score a custom.

If you ever travel outside of BFC, you'll realize that they have a dedicated forum on another large knife site, and they are very much in demand.

I have never seen or heard anybody confront Mick in person. It wouldn't be advised, seeing that majority of the crowd at his table, probably have his back.

I plan on having this in my pocket in the next few months.

I'd rather have the RW1 :p that would be the "Daddy" to the SnG.

Yessir, nothing satisfies like the feeling of belonging. The old gang mentality works a charm.

So your reply is to insult the people that have a problem with Burger's lack of ethics and say that we can't make a coherent argument?

I have handled Strider knives and found that they weren't close to being worth the price tag. I then learned about the type of person Mr. Burger is and was very happy I hadn't purchased one of his knives because when I have a choice, and it's a hobby that I'm passionate about, I would rather support people that have a little more moral fiber than Mr. Burger.

Actually, my post had nothing to do with the integrity of Mick Strider. My post was a direct response to those who can't separate the quality of the product from the politics of the man. Logical fallacies abound in this thread.

You obviously are unaware that a couple of their models carry an NSN and are sold on base to active military. I would guess the majority of their business is to service members.

Well if we're going to be just guessing I'd guess a majority are bought by keyboard commandos who feel it allows them in to a private club of fellow wannabees. Just a guess, mind you. NSN means nothing. I bought Bucks and Gerbers on base in my day.

If you think real hard on it you'll find that most fallacies are actually illogical. Hmm. Ask Spock, he's sure to know!

CRKT's were the hot item in mine. That and the Pakistani crap that people were buying up like hot cakes at the Bazaar.

Maybe work on your reading comprehension. I stated that after handling the knives I found the quality lacking.

I also found the character of the man to be reprehensible.

Either reason is enough for me not to buy the knives myself. The latter reason is why I take the time to warn others about Mr. Burger's shady past; because once they know the character of the man they may choose that they do not want to financially support someone like that.

Edit: I hold nothing against the people that decide to buy Strider knives. I don't agree with your decision but it is yours to make.

I do have a problem with people that want to hide the things that Mr. Burger has done and the type of person he is. People should be aware of all the facts when making a purchase. You may not think the character of a man is important when conducting a business transaction but some people do.

Now that I think about it the NSN is what's required to qualify to be ordered by the govt for issue. That puts it right up there on a par with the GI toilet paper we all know and loved so dearly.
