myself, got dropped and had a hissy fit then did some dumb shit that landed me in jail for some years, now I sell my high speed low drag
knives for hardcore individuals while wearing my been there done that
shirt at the shows making $$$$ off my war stories.

You haven't been here but five minutes, and people need to get a feel for what you are about.

You could get ratpacked into meltdown and resultantly banned if you keep it up....and it wouldn't be on anyone but you.

Thankyou Steve for the kind words, I have been playing nice as of late. I like the forum and want to stay because Its a wealth of info and burns some free time up.

So from here on out Ill be good but if somebody calls me names or accuses
me of something Im going to give it right back and I think most people would too.

As for me I used to carry a Strider when I patrolled the Shopping Mall. Now I am broke, old, fat, and one of those guys with low-T..............

"Low T" is a term pharmaceutical companies made up to sell pills for it.

I still smile when yielding them 2X4's, but as I grow older they get heavier!!!

And yes sir Cougar, lead is very very bad for one's health, and sometimes painful. A seriously long story, the end came 579 rounds after the beginning!!!

To stay on topic, No one applauds Mick for his past deeds/misdeeds and Duane's military history is quite suspect, but they make great knives for tough work and there's no hype in the knife's description.

So call them all the bad names you can think of, boycott their products, and/or take an ad out in a knife magazine.BUT continually calling them a POS, saying you are a Seal (wrong, even in jest), saying you would tell Strider and Dwyer to their faces over and over again is not displaying principles, its grandstanding.

There is a very broad world in this terrible addiction of ours (knives), now that we all know how you feel about Strider maybe we can let this dead horse die again and move on to something positive.

On a positive note, it is now legal to carry Auto-knives in the State of NH!!!! (Maybe next we'll be able to carry machine guns)

Im not a military man (much respect to those who are), but I can imagine if I was, Id take it pretty personally if someone claimed to be my kind, just to better his business practices. Just becasue this guy is late to the party, doesnt mean he is any less entitled then the thousands who voiced concerns in the past. Let him speak, from what Ive read, the OP only speaks the truth. Simply dont reply if it bothers you, the thread will eventually die. With exception to the accused bad guy, everyone will be happy in the end :thumbup:

OK so I'm sort of new to BF--I've only been here for a little over a year, and I figure this is as good of a place as any to ask. Is it more or less confirmed that Mick and Duane did lie about their service? They seem to have a huge following on the greener forum, some of which are servicemen; it seems hard to believe that they'd support them if they lied about their service. Also, I thought I read something about Duane teaching police snipers, or maybe I'm massively confused. Keep in mind that I don't own any Strider knives, but it's not because of this, I just haven't gotten around to it, but I don't really know all of the facts of this matter

Beliefs have a great deal of inertia. Some people may not have enough mental flexibility to overcome the inertia of a long-held belief at all, especially when powerful emotion is opposed only by mere facts. Some can do it eventually but it takes them a long time....

Also, I thought I read something about Duane teaching police snipers

He did indeed scam a police department into paying him for training. Others have done the same; police departments don't normally investigate people who offer to train them. (It's easy to steal police cars, too; they never lock them.... Of course then you have the problem of what to do with a stolen police car. It's much easier to dispose of money.)
