stupid blade markings

I like mine sterile, or at least without any inscriptions that could cause trouble in court or could raise question by someone handling the blade.

I don't mind logos at all if they done tastefully. What drives me nuts is when they slap the full patent numbers on the blade. I have a SOG blink which I love. Nicely built little knife that is both practical and sheeple friendly. However, one side has the SOG logo on it with "Blink" written. The other side says, "Pat. 6,941,661" Um...who cares? Detracts from a fairly clean looking knife, and, no offense, that is saying A LOT for a SOG.

A shirt with your picture on it isn't so bad. If it's a great picture you can have printed "It's possible for me to look this good" underneath it. That way you don't have to worry about looking your best. Your picture can be your image proxy.

Hey! I thought you WERE a celebrity.:eek:

Of course I am, but if I wear a shirt with my picture on it everyone will know it. It'll be better than an American Express card!

By the way, I think I once saw Jerry Garcia wearing a shirt with his own picture on it. But memories of Grateful Dead concerts can sometimes be unreliable....

By the way, I think I once saw Jerry Garcia wearing a shirt that showed the entire film Easy Rider with Cantonese subtitles. But memories of Grateful Dead concerts can sometimes be unreliable....

I remember this too.

I like big bright logos on knives. They always catch my eye. For me they are a nice little bonus.

I definitely remember it! Hazily.

Jerry Garcia never really cared what anyone else thought.

I take it this is the "ONE" you speak of:D

I disagree! I don't think anyone would agree with him as long as the logo does not overwhelm the Blade.
My point didn't concern whether the logo overwhelms the blade or not... my point was, if he'd chosen a Dark Ops blade instead of a Busse, he wouldn't have a bandwagon full of Busse-philes all calling him a troll or asking if he rides the short bus.

I only buy blades which are etched "QUALITY" if it also says "made in Pakistan" somewhere else on the blade, because then at least you know that you are getting quality.
