Hey guys, can anyone recommend an inexpensive folder less than $30 or so that feels good in larger hands? All of the budget folders I buy have sharp edged handles. Cheers!

Can I ask what folders you have? It will help us help you.

I suspect what you need is a good sub $30 folder, of which there are plenty.

Not trying to be a copy cat but just plain truthful - Ontario RAT-1.

Depends also how big a knife you want. For $16, a Kershaw Shuffle can be had. Just picked one up. Very sharp and barely feel it in pocket.
I hear the Rat 1 is very durable for the price.

Ontario rat 1

This is always the answer in threads like this, and it is correct.

That price range is not one that has any knives that interest me personally, but if that's what you have/want to spend, the Rat 1 or 2 would be the knife to buy....

It isn't even vaguely tactical - no clip, sometimes no one hand opening, but the old Gerber Gator line of folders have large, round rubbery handles.

The newest model is 154CM steel and can be had for $35 delivered. The old ones are under $20 on the used market.

The Rat 1 is excellent, this is just a different way to go with an actual round handle.
