Successful Hunting Pics 2013/2014

robino,
WOAH brother those are some hogs. Please give us the story on that hunt and the wounded pup.

that's one of two hunts i went on last week, one wednesday, one saturday...

on wed only one pig was shot, while saturday there were 17 pigs shot, actually 19, but two of the wounded ones could not be found
we were roughly 10-11 hunters so we all got a bit of meat packed away...

one guy shot 5 pigs in one event. We do many types of hunts here in Romania, while hunting in groups we do what's called a "goana"...
that's where hunters line up within 50 yrds of ea other and wait for the "gonaci" to drive the game from the other end of the forest...towards us

of course, the larger older boar are smarter and they hide. The younger ones run and eventually get shot when they pass one of the hunters.
Name of the game is to sit still and not move.
On saturday, 5 boar walked past me within arms reach and never knew I was there. One of them got shot (the biggest one)

Other types of hunts are stalking and "dibuit" where we walk through the forest quietly. My favorite is stalking because it's the most comfy and safe, lol.
The biggest boar shot was around 165 kilos this time around, my all time heaviest was 275+ kilos.
my buddy shot one close to 320 kilos, but I never seen another like that one yet.

Keep in mind, these are REAL non-modified wild boar. These are not farm raised, these are not castrated to grow size, these are not mixed with domestic pigs, these are e.euro boar, just as mother nature made them.

As for the gun, i use a Benelli M4 semiauto. Gives me confidence knowing there's 7 slugs in there.
My bro uses a Benelli Argo 30-06 semiauto with a 10 shot mag. Comes in handy when 20 boar walk past you...

Yeah, those are real European Boars, not like the feral pigs in the US, that some call "boars". I think the more correct term is hogs for those. Looks like an awesome trip.

I thought a boar was a male pig and a sow is a female. I may be wrong. That looks like a Russian Boar.

Lots of pics of squirrels. Does squirrel actually taste descent? I figured they would taste really gamey cause I see them eating trash alot of the time. That's why I wouldn't really wanna eat bear either.

arriving back from a successful hunt with my father and friend. it is just the beginning of the red deer rut right now over here.

nice boar I shot just on dark.

Went and picked up the mount of my dad's antelope last year. It's the second from right.

Make it right, it can be delicious. Older squirrels get tough though. Makes a good stew.
