Summer Sale

Yes. I don't mind the switch. It is a good switch, as far as switches go. IMO, when closing the blade, it doesn't really 'feel' all the way in the handle, like a Sog Flash, or some autos.
:) Great ! I ordered one last night . I definitely wanted the model with the safety .:thumbsup:

Hope they got all the earlier problems worked out . If not, the safety might be necessary .

The one with safety should have heat treated lockbar spring liner. If you look inside the knife, you’ll see the liner is purple like it’s burned. The older version without the safety does not have it.

Also the reason for the safety is that the assist spring kicks in hard very very early. You probably just need to open the blade 5 degree for it to kick in. This cam be a safety issue so the switch is probably necessary.

This is also why the blade doesn’t feel like it snap close securely unlike many other assisted knives where there’s a distinct transition when you overcome the spring tension. This model feel more like an automatic knife without the button.

Good points. I will say that mine feels completely safe to carry without using the safety. It would take some serious arm movement to shake the blade out. I haven't even tried.
