Summer snark !

BRAT diet for the stomach.

Bananas
Rice
Apple sauce
Toast

Be sure to keep hydrated, plenty of water and electrolytes. After a couple days, try adding saltine crackers.

If all goes well, you can try adding mashed potatoes, or boiled without the skin. Don't add any seasoning that could upset your stomach.

Chicken or turkey without the skin, broth soups, oatmeal... stay away from anything that will upset your stomach, until you feel better.

Saw the neurologist 2 days ago. She's still not convinced I have Parkinsons. I guess time will tell.

I am getting my hip replacements next Tuesday. I had to get my A1C down and had to have the rest of my teeth removed before they would look at my hip . Right now I am having anxiety bad it’s messing with my stomach and since I can’t take anything but Tylenol , I’m in a lot of pain. I am still trying to work. I have tonight and Friday left to work
I’m down 40 lbs this year and 81 lbs over 3 years

man, sucks for sure, but in time, it'll be a good thing...

ah, work, i've been under employed for a bit now, hate it, hoping to the market picks up...

otherwise, mmm, i wonder what Lowes pays for full time? Blue is better than Orange lol...

interesting... as im doing omad last few days just outta the blue, however theres a supposed study that omad isnt good for your heart, read it on Google somewhere a few years back so it must be true... not sure how as it makes no sense but its out there, or was anyway.

if you follow the "good doctor" (https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=pradip+jamnadas), short videos, hour plus long videos... his basic stances are pretty easy to follow, he just lays it all out...

as to why various things are "bad for us", well, i take that with a grain of salt that costs nothing ;) follow the money...

back in the day when "they" decided that sugar vs fat what was bad in food, they of course chose sugar (corn syrup) as the good guy, blamed fat for everything, and started pushing a food pyramid based on items that would make profits :D way back in school when the food pyramid was new, we had to do a class on it, and "build" a food pyramid with real foods layed out on a table... the SUGGESTED serving portions for daily eating - huge - impossible! also, poptarts are a grain? wtf... get out.

these days, fat itself as a resource / ingredient is worth money - more so than the foods they extract it from; low fat cheese? "it's good for you" (not) but that fat is worth $$$$ for plastics and other industries, hell, even fuel industries... it might be worth more than some foods...

they really effed us over for the last 50+ years on boner moves like that. sugar IS a problem, not having the right fats IS a problem. shit, screwing with our food is the biggest crime of the century...

the only "health food" is real stuff, from nature, from animals, "eat food, mostly plants, not too much" was a good motto in the pre keto/nocarb days...

regular meals is the downfall of mankind i think. variety is good. being HUNGRY is good. even lightly processed foods lose something... OMAD does some things to you. makes your body work a little yes, but once you settle into it, you eat your food, and you're done. no snacking, no extra money spent, you're almost never hungry, hangry, tired, the body starts fixing things, no insulin spikes, things just work. it's great. one of the aspects is losing weight, a benefit, but wasn't 100% the real reason i started. fun fact: your tongue is a fat storage point too, when you lose weight, you lose that fat too, and if you have apnea? yeah! i sleep tons better now... better gut health, immune health, every box ticked.

there's a dude i follow off and on from youtube, "lion diet", he buys a half cow now and then, all cut up, bagged, frozen, and pretty much eats 2 steaks a day (love his rib eyes); his health story is amazing in his turn around, off all his meds, no more health problems that plagued him, he's in fantastic shape; i found him due to the "Dreo Chefmaster" cooking appliance i was researching then (fantastic cooking device if you crave steak)... check him out.

back to the doctor... why do people dislike him, not trust him, and people like him? because he's honest, has the science, and isn't make a penny off us (well, youtube might flip him a few dollars); but he's not selling a plan, nor supplements, nothing, in fact, he wants us health, and doesn't want our money from cutting you open (he is a working cardio thorasci surgeon, and cuts up enough people)... so yeah, that's SUS right? someone looking out for us...

bad day? have a steak. hangry? eat a steak. sad? eat a steak. tired? eat a steak :D

Thank you , God answers prayers. I managed to eat some today . I had eaten just 2 squeeze pouches of apple sauce since Monday. So I’m starting to feel a little better.
I’m to the point I don’t have a choice in the hip replacement. I’ll be fine once we get there it’s the waiting that kills me

Add: I just got on the scale I have lost ~9 lbs this week . Not the right way to do it though

I got home last night and weighed myself after a 2-day ren faire blacksmithing demo and weighed 256.
ate some supper, had a beer (for the electrolytes, of course), stripped down for a shower and weighed myself again - 246.
no wonder my legs were tired!

dudeness I'm gonna check him out for sure... last week ish I've been doing more carnivore type action, self inflicted mind you as I've gained like 50lbs in the last two years of madness... another 10lb when I was in a shoulder sling for 8weeks along with being doped up didnt help... last two days strictly carnivore and Omar, again no encouragement wss just a random thing I started doing... totally helps with cravings no doubt, have lost 12lbs in last 2 weeks of being mindful... When I still lived in the country I would buy half a cow from neighbor up the road, think it was like 400 if iirc, but that was 13+ yrs ago, bought a freezer just for the badboy... I may have to go see Ole Jerry and see what his prices are like now. I used to make fun and tell the wife when we'd go to pick up from butcher, " how do we know this is Jerry's prime cow?" they may have been driving into work and hit or found a dead cow off the side of the road and filet that dude up and gave to us and kept Jerry's premium stuff for themselves...

Well it looks like I have stage four colon cancer. They did surgery on me yesterday afternoon. I will be in the hospital until Saturday. Could use some prayers
So sorry man, prayers headed your way.

Sorry to hear, remember that you're in a fight for your life.

It might sound crazy, look for all the information you can. Don't feel weird about looking into others ways of healing yourself.

Don't stop listening to your doctor, use alternative medicine and or changing your diet, with everything else.

Use all the information you can to beat this.

Talk to the patient advocates about options like ssa disability, and talk to your docs about a timeline for when it was likely progressing
Also talk to your employer about short and long term disability while you're going through treatment
