Summer snark !

Just bought my first bk2. Have a ton of Beckers but never bought a 2. I'm happy I did though. Yes, it's heavey, but it's not as large I imagined it being, it's just a thick boy.

Also got the new kabar knx.01. Also thick, but a nice profile, ffg, pointy. Very bk16 like, but thicker and more pointy. The metal is rounded everywhere though. Comfy, but not a great firesteel knife. Cool that it already ships wearing micarta.

Would post pics but I'm on my phone and the upload sites I used in the past seem to have gone to the eternal fields.

I am trying to get this new laptop set up. I thought the touch pad quit working on me, so i plugged in a mouse which got me by. Later I took it into our local computer garage for a tune up and oil change, but then the touch pad performed just fine. 🙄 I saw it sneer at me when nobody was looking though...😯
The BK76 is still my go to kitchen blade, no stains on that blade!

I got my A1C results back today, with all my issues we did it in 2 months instead of 3 . In 2 months it dropped 2.9 points to 6.5 dropping that much in 2 months is huge
that's very good news...

between visits with the doc, i've lost 30 lbs, which led to a convo about dropping some meds... 50 since peak last year, and more to go, super strict lifestyle now.

if anyone is curious, hit youtube for "dr pradip jamnadas", he cuts people open for a living in florida to fix hearts, but prefers getting them on "a plan", he sells nothing, makes nothing, has no products, no books, just "do this for 3-6 months, and we'll talk about your operation later"; many patients end up getting off drugs, and NOT NEEDING him after. he's okay with that. wears a star trek beanie hat wrap :D nerd :) love it. has worked for me. TL;DR: you work up to eating one meal a day, that's it. eat "correct foods" ideally, but that's about it. would be best to limit alcohol, the gimmick is "autophagy" in the body, leads to better gut, live, enzyme health, and other co factors. low carb / carnivore is additionally useful, but, stick to one meal a day (make it a feast he says). good to go.

I am getting my hip replacements next Tuesday. I had to get my A1C down and had to have the rest of my teeth removed before they would look at my hip . Right now I am having anxiety bad it’s messing with my stomach and since I can’t take anything but Tylenol , I’m in a lot of pain. I am still trying to work. I have tonight and Friday left to work
I’m down 40 lbs this year and 81 lbs over 3 years

How's everyone doing?
I'm really enjoying the Kabar wrench knife these days. Like the profile and the mirror finish is sweet. Overall just another great ka-bar product imo, great addition next to my neckers.

Right now my stomach is not good. With everything else that hurts, I’d have to get better to die 😖
Hope you get better soon.
They way you phrased gave me a bit of a giggle, reminding me of some local news. Small sharks were found dead ashore and the journalist covering the little fact quoted a biologist saying 'The sharks are dead but otherwise look healthy.'
I'm still laughing at it.

Thank you , God answers prayers. I managed to eat some today . I had eaten just 2 squeeze pouches of apple sauce since Monday. So I’m starting to feel a little better.
I’m to the point I don’t have a choice in the hip replacement. I’ll be fine once we get there it’s the waiting that kills me

Add: I just got on the scale I have lost ~9 lbs this week . Not the right way to do it though
