I had an extra 36 dollars layin around and wondered (besides a Mora) what good knife could I get from this... Any suggestions?

The Ontario Rat 1 is def a great choice.

If you look around you can find a Spyderco Tenacious for $40-45 and its WELL worth it.

If you've never owned a Spyderco trust me they have incredible knives for the money.

Next would be to check out some Kershaw knives, like the Cryo 1555 Ti.

Keshaw blems from kershawguy.com he's got composite leeks for two bucks extra!

Perhaps you should first say what are your planned uses for the new knife?

I think it's pointless to throw out suggestions if we don't know what you want to do with the knife.

Buy a gold membership here on BF, and a Mora 511.

edit: The Robust is only a few more bucks than the 511, and its a heck of alot of knife for the money.

The KA-BAR Bob Dozier, folding hunter would make for a solid choice IMHO. The AUS-8 is nothing to sneeze at and the FRN is nice

Well I wanted a fixed blade and as far as use I don't care... really bored.

The largest quantity of steel for $36 is undoubtedly Condor. :D Their Hudson Bay runs about $34 and weighs 1.49 lbs.

If you're not entirely set on a fixed blade, there are some really nice Victorinox models in your price range.

Happy Shopping!

I like the svord kiwi machete--if you're not looking for a pair of moras, that is.

No feedback on the Freeman?

Well I just looked at it, and to be honest......I wouldn't touch that thing with a 10' pole...

Oh and I think it's fairly knives that sells these little custom neck knives for like $35......can't get the serch to work though, so no link...
