Just got an email that these are on stock. Hopefully they ship out on Monday.

This is the first Spyderco I've been really excited for in the past couple of months. I can't wait for it to get here.
 
I believe that it's a 1200 piece run. It shouldn't be too hard to find one over the next couple of months.
 
It looks like it may show up by Monday evening if USPS keeps on time. Very exciting, haha.
 
Ah, it arrived! For those that are curious, yes, the knife is clad Super Blue/420J1. I'll post up pics later today.
 
I was sort of hoping for it to come out a little later so I have time to scratch some money together:D

I'm hoping for that. Pre order was placed in Dec. Just called and they are getting in a shipment in tomorrow. Alas mine won't be one of the ones they send out and the PM2 was over sold so they are not sending that either. :( Heading to a local shop to find something to console me. :)

I really like the color on this one from what I can tell on a computer. Can't wait to see the pictures and your impressions of the color difference between their other FRN.

The lamination line is off on the right side of the blade on mine. I plan on use the knife, so it doesn't bother me, but I've read through some threads where people have been very picky about things.

 
nice pics! I just ordered one...been curious about the stretch for a long time, like the handle color and will see what I think of the steel.
 
Looks nice. Love the color. Thanks for sharing the pics. I wish they would use the polished pocket clips instead of the black ones for these knives. I just think the polished looks better.

Let us know how she cuts once you start using her!
 
Mine should be here by the end of the week. I dislike the black pocket clips too so will change to polished. I might have to strip this one as I think I might have used my last spare polished clip on my Super Blue Endura.

The lamination line on my endura was pretty even so I am hoping for the same on the Stretch. I can't say the same for my Caly series laminated blades as I have two with uneven lamination lines and that has always bothered me. I don't understand why Spyderco seems to have this issue with the irregular lamination lines. Fallkniven has their laminated blades made in Japan and all 12 Fallkniven laminated knives I have have close to perfect lines.

I had a blue ZDP-189 Stretch for about a year, but ended up trading it away. I've sort of regretted doing so since then, but this was the perfect opportunity to pick up another Stretch. I've used Aogami Super quite a bit before (Caly 3, 3.5, and some kitchen knives) and it is one of my favorite steels. It can take a very very fine polished edge; what is most remarkable, though, is how long it retains that super fine polished edge.
 
Wow that edge came out great! Have you used it yet? I found a site that actually had these on the shelf. Mine will be here next week :) My preorder placed in Dec is still in limbo. Seven days is feeling a bit like eternity after seeing your pictures.

I'd like to see the polished clips on the lighter colored knives as well.
 
I cancelled my order from KC and just waited for it to pop up on GP or HQ. Mainly because I had heard from some who preordered the Cru-wear Military and were left with no chair once the music stopped. I didn't want to miss this one by relying on a preorder. YMMV.
