Super Blue Stretch

Getting mine tomorrow! Been wanting to check out a stretch for awhile now...never had a sprint before, so I'm doubly pleased!

Damn I love this knife!!

Used it a bit and took a strop to it - hair popping sharp in literally a dozen passes. Admittedly the edge was still in good shape but my first impressions of SuperBlue is really good.

Only thing as previously mentioned the 420J1 does readily scratch up. Not a biggie for me as I try to make all my knives users...

Just got mine. This is my first Super Blue steel blade. The fit and finish is fantastic. Another fine blade from a quality Company

I've had one preordered with KC for nearly 6 months, and my order finally shows it being in stock. I also preordered a Spin (Same order), but it doesn't show as being in stock yet. No shipping notice yet, so they may wait to ship both out at once. I hope they don't wait...I've had that SuperBlue monkey on my back ever since I gifted a SuperBlue Delica to my dad.

Found some today at a reasonable price. Called to verify as I was skeptical but will hopefully have it by Friday.

I just touched up the edge on my sharpmaker- this super blue responds real nice- just a few minutes got it nasty sharp!

Got a notice yesterday that my KC preorder from December just shipped. It should be here Friday. Somehow I "forgot" to cancel it when I got my knife elsewhere last week. Well that's my story when my other half finds out. What a price difference in preordering vs msrp. I feel like I got a BOGO deal. I used the knife today on some boxes and opening new bags of cat food. Barely felt it go through the material and I haven't touched up the edge.

By the way, I added one of Casey's deep carry Ti pocket clips (Casey Lynch - thelastleaf@fastmail.fm). Thanks Casey - love the clips!

Check the dealer section on this forum / posted today.

Good spot MCM. I called them yesterday and the ladies said they didn't know when the next shipment would drop and weren't even sure if they would have any left after filling preorders.

Got mine yesterday and love it. It's just as nice as everyone here has said. Switched the clip out for the silver one on my PM2 this morning and like it even more. Had one question though. Is there anything special I should wipe the blade with? I know the SB is not as corrosion resistant as some other steels. Do I need to do anything special with it? This one's gonna give my PM2 a run for my favorite.

Mine's at the local post office, so I should have it today. It'll be a nice addition to the Stretch collection. 6 months. I didn't even have to wait that long for my backordered PM2's. :D

Like any non-SS metal, just keeping it wiped down will be enough. The only part of the blade that'll be susceptible to corrosion is the part below the laminate line. If you're really concerned, you can wipe the blade with some light machine oil like 3 in 1. I wouldn't be overly concerned about it, though. I've had zero corrosion issues with my SB Endura & Delica and I don't get the sense that the steel is especially prone to corrosion. Even if a patina did form, it'd protect the steel from more serious corrosion.

Thanks for the heads up, MCM. I ordered a backup this morning because the more I use my SB Stretch the more I realize I should have ordered two from the get-go.

Thanks FW JSB. I'll keep an eye on it but I'm not gonna worry about it. Its my first SB so I'm new to it. Thing is crazy sharp. I want to keep it nice but I also want to cut everything in my house with it. Glad I caught one from GPK before they were gone.

Ive got one that I preordered from kc on the way, I preordered it when the option first became available but I dont remember when that was. I already have a zdp stretch and I love it, it is an exceptional knife so I got this one just to try out the super blue, I plan on getting a super blue manbug as well and maybe and endura if I like the steel alot:D
From all indications I think I will be pleasantly surprised with super blue and when you try a new steel that turns out to be really good its a satisfaction thats hard to beat.
