Surviors! Off Topic & Nonsense talk thread!

If I was younger, say Justin's age; I'd be definitely gravitating toward Scottsdale. With the bevvy of ASU coeds over there, I could surely have gotten myself in loads of trouble :)

Scottsdale is pretty cool but I'm really trying to avoid a lot of people and the heat. There's plenty of trouble to be had in Prescott. I stayed out there for a couple days in November 2014 and had a great time on Whiskey Row.

Hmmm, are you worried about the Demographics?

Cost of living in Sedona is pretty high. I would probably have an issue dealing with the hoity toity people out there also. I grew up near Laguna beach and still can't stand snobby people.

I didn't know that you were Cali Loyalty Sir. Laguna Beach! Wowzer!

You're just meant to be a sugardaddy to those hotties out there. Admit it ;)

No way, I have like 7 pre-orders. I won't let Guy out of the shop!

OK, just Ellie then... Maybe after she hangs around with you and the Mrs. she will get the motivation to "add" to Team Survive! in a more, shall we say, organic way! ;)

OK Lads, I'm out. G'Nite.

Haha it was when my dad was stationed at El Toro. We lived in Mission Viejo then in Dana Point. Both places are horribly overrated.

They'd be pretty upset after seeing my savings account right now!
I'm pretty sure they would know I'm a cheap ass when I only wear plain t-shirts, Levi's and Converse shoes.

Tell 'em that you'll be their Splenda Daddy :D

No kidding! Maybe I should turn the tables and try to find a sugar mama or start dating strippers again. I like it when I don't have to pay for every damn thing.

As a Cali resident, I have to shift some funds and hoard ammo and some other arms that have been on my radar.

I hope mass shootings will no longer happen in Cali, because making it harder for law-abiding citizens surely is the right answer....

Of course it is. They made drugs illegal and look how awesome that worked.

Fyi... The mods will ding you for political comments that arent in the political subforum. Theyve dinged me before.

I would've given a lot to know how to take a good picture of the night time sky, or had a good enough camera while out fishing tonight. It was a beautiful night.

I had a band of rapscallion raccoons walk up on me, but no otters this night.

The place I fished tonight is a little spillway down the road from my parent's place out in the boonies. They're off to kayak on the Niobrara river in Nebraska for the weekend so I'm watching their place.

After I'd dropped off my dogs and done chores at mom and dad's I drove by the spillway on my way to work and there was someone parked there. Not unusual but I didn't have time to run him off. What was weird was that he was swimming in it. Not just weird because it's fairly scummy water with loads of rebar from rebuilding the bridge, but his clothes were all stacked up on the bank. I think, 'Nebraska plates, probably trying to get away from Omaha, no problem'.

I go down there to fish tonight and holy trash dumpster, I should've ran him off earlier. 2 busted boogie board type things that he'd apparently tried to ride down the spillway (lol!), a bunch of empty water bottles strewn about, an 8(?) pack holder, a pair of underwear...

I just don't get it. He seemed to want to get out in the sticks, I respect that. But that one dude left more trash than we get when a bunch of local teenagers spend all night drinking out there.

It looked like the rebar had torn the whole bottom off one of his sled/boogie board things, I think about how funny that would've been to see and it's a bit of consolation to picking his trash up.

I'll bet that shot of the night sky was beautiful in real life. I've always wondered what kind of pictures a guy could get if you could carry a mini LarsL in the pack and get him out when you need a really good shot! :D

Here's a shot from a hunting camp we use in a section of Hells Canyon. It's one of those times the photo didn't do it justice.

^Brutal^ What a dick:mad:. I really dont get people like that. Littering is one of my bigger pet peeves. Too bad you didnt catch him while he was leaving.

Yeah I don't get it, not like the little piece of plastic or whatever is heavy to carry off. Cornfusing.

When I was younger I just figured I'd remember everything, memory's a blurry thing though and sometimes a scene like that deserves a better picture. That looks like it was a heck of a view there. My photography skills consist of point and click.

Speaking of which, sometimes point and click is fine [emoji12]. About to start the sanding at 220 grit on the handle. I swear those corby bolts were in line when I started this thing. The handle seems comfy though so it worked out. Probably only sand the handle to 400. Then it's either a vinegar patina or I might mess with PCB etchant. Then time to slap it on the KME.
