Surviors! Off Topic & Nonsense talk thread!

Yes, I'm an addict to my core!

CPK is an awesome sub forum with very friendly folks and some who are cross overs ;)

Worth your while to get out once in a while and BTW, your fave thread was finally locked up :D

It took me a little research to find out what CPK stood for. Is that a new term for the forum?

Since you ever so gracefully swan dived......... swan dove........ whatever.... into what I consider 2 of the finest brands of outdoors cutlery available, where were all these ample resources going before you took the leap? Did you have a previous hobby that has since been diverted to this latest endeavor?

I know!!!!! I was going to PM you about that rancid cess pit closing...

Oh just booze, women and gambling.... I kid, I kid; well maybe just a little :D

CPK also stands for California Pizza Kitchen. Surely they must be a national chain by now!

I had composed what I thought was my yet best and most thoughtful response, and when I pressed, "Post" It just gave me a message that thread was locked up / closed! LOL! Well then, no one will ever find out my superior level of analysis and verbal paralysis! :D

California or Carothers Pizza Kitchen ? He's into pizza making too ? well I can't help him there as I'm not a pizza Italian ! I wonder how many on the forum eat pizza with knife and fork as I do .It makes the crazy !!

I heard Carothers only sells about 5 to 10 pizzas a week and they sell out within seconds! I think the premium ingredients, high quality recipes and hand made touch are the reason why.

My wife's favorite brand of pizza has a thin, but not crispy crust so I usually fork it to avoid having to wrangle a long, droopy slice into my mouth.

My god that poor chainsaw.

It's a Poulan Pro bro, it deserves every curse word and ridiculous statement you can throw at it. I may or may not have chucked that piece of shit into the drink and jumped up and down on a log downstream to break the channel open. He has real saws, this one was just light. I left him my Silky Gomboy back at the house after he got too hot and abandoned ship. He still pulled that POS out of the crick... F'ing zombie saw.

I gather that gentleman is Papa Gorgie with them guns! Gorgie, do you even lift bro? :D

That is indeed Papa Grog. Gorgie, Grogie, no, none of them work. Nope, nope, nope. Grog. My liver and I worked like hell to earn that nickname in the army.

Oh, and after a lot of naughty words and whatnot.. I fished that POS out of the drink. And it fired up. POS.. but a reliable POS.

I hear you brother and I am of the belief that a man deserve a name whuch he has earned on his own more so that the name given at birth, but trying to convince my autocorrect is an entirely different matter altogether!

Man I am LMAO. The first thing I noticed in that pic was that it was a Poulan Pro (We run a saw shop/resharp facility so I recognized it) and thought yep, they brought the right saw for that job. Everybody hates them but the little bastards run. Unlike JF, I was hoping you'd heap some more abuse on it, and it sounds like you did lol.

The one in General? Yeah it's been there. Those flag scales Ronnie did are totally sick, and that's no nonsense :D

Wow, I've amassed over 850 posts and I still have not said anything that amounts to a thing. I'm really on pace to out do myself on this sub :D

It's in our forum now. Maybe a mod moved it over and that's why I'm just seeing it. Maybe I should be liking my nose in general every now and then. Those scales are awesome!!!

That's what happens when I pin your ears on the private side. You lose sight of the going ons in the General :D
Haha!

God damn. The 10 has to be one of the ugliest knives I have ever seen. They are impressive, kinda like a fat nasty feral pig.

Haha! Yeah, the old school GSO 10 is one ugly beast.

Signed: one proud owner ;)

Between the tall blade and Spear point, I really like the look of the 10. I'm neutral on the looks of the handle, but because I like that blade profile so much, I love it!

Now if we want to talk about ugly blades.......... for whatever reason I always cringe when I see an Ontario blackbird.

Almost anything by Spyderco.

I did buy my wife a Dragonfly, SS tattoo with the dragonfly scene on it because she really needed something for her purse.

But in general I find the aesthetics they use, the huge blade profile to be ugly as sin. I'll take a Sebenza any day! And with the secondary market tanking due to several reasons, there was never a better time to buy one.

Spydercos never caught my eye, but I think my RAT 1 is hideous. It's such a great performer I can overlook it :)

I know that the Ontario Blackbird is only a $100 survival / bushcraft knife at around the $100 mark in 154CM steel which is a better grade of steel than say your garden variety 1095, but I think that it was overhyped beyond sense! I held that blade in my hand and let me tell you that it does not inspire much confidence if you like to baton a lot. There were also some reported cases of that knife breaking while batoning (not by me) probably because of being heat treated poorly.
