In response to Scottmans thread I just wanted start a post your survival gun thread
Here's a few pics of mine although admittedly it is more of a small game harvester than a survival gun
its a stainless Rossi matched pair in .22 lr and .410
Here's a pic of the assembled firearm with the .410 barre; in place

Let see yours..

Nothing fancy here. This is an elderly Marlin 39, .22 LR lever gun. Scope is a Leupold 2-7X.
This will do most anything you need in the area of survival.

Now if you mean that other sort of 'survival', then this Colt 6700 HBAR will do :)

That Rossi looks nice. What is the model number? Is it single shot? What does it weigh, with both barrels? What accuracy have you obtained?

I have a blue version of the Rossi. Great gun to train the kids on too.

Not much in the way of small game here (Hawaii) so this is my go-to and hope for pig, or the Marlin 795 .22 and find some Moa (wild chickens) But it'd have to be a SHTF or sneaky sneaky big boy rules situation.

31rds of 7.62x39 onboard (10 + 1 + 20 on strippers) makes me happy. :D

It is a flare gun. 1965, 26.5 mm with aluminum adapter to shoot walmart 12 gauge flares.

I have a single-shot Baikal .410. I've taken doves, rabbits, and many dog sized rats. Never shot slugs out of it but I'm sure it will drop a deer or a man pretty quick.
Good gun, and inexpensive too.

haha for real. that sounds scary. my guess is he is from bikini atoll. (that island didn't take too well to that whole bomb testing thing haha.) but on a more serious note i have been looking into getting some kind of survival gun like this, i mean i have an ak ar long and short barrel shot guns and of course hand guns but but no riffles and nothing i would consider a wilderness survival gun. you guys got any suggestions on something under 200? weight is a biggie!!! but what its chambered in, recoil and stock type is under the radar as long as it does work by the end of the day. is a combo like that a good idea?

Here's a little H&R .20ga. Extremely handy little bugger.

Here's a 'real' survival long gun, but honestly I don't usually care it into the woods with me.

Ah, good’ol “survival” or woods-bumming guns…

Here are some of my favorites:

Springfield M6 Scout with a Trijicon Reflex sight (12 MOA triangle):

Marlin Model 70PSS .22LR with Eagle stock pouch for a couple extra mags, firesteel and the inside contains a Boresnake, oil and a SAK Farmer:

Savage Model 24 Camper, .22LR over 20 gauge:

The ubiquitous Ruger 10/22 with folding stock and ghost ring sights:

H&R single shot 20 gauge; I added the Survivor stock along with a couple of sub-caliber inserts (.22LR and .38/.357):

For a larger caliber, I really like the Savage Scout .308, topped with a Burris Scout Scope and a couple of 10 round Sharp Shooter Supply magazines:

Of course if you’re talking zombie survival…I’ve got the neighborhood covered:D

ROCK6

Dang ROCK6, that's a lot of firepower. :D

I have wanted one of those M6 Scouts ever since I saw you post about one a long while back, but they are really hard to find.
