My survival rifle is a DPMS AP4 chambered in the .308 Winchester. Removable Leupold VX 3 scope on an American Defense quick detach and I have folding iron sights as backup, and it's accurrate. A quick detach sling mount on the rail and an one inch scope mount so I can mount my Surefire 6P to it when I need to. Collapsible stock, 16 inch barrell, Pmags and regular metal mags.

She's small, but pretty heavy, over 10lbs. If I'm in a plane crash with her, she wont float, she'll actually drown me. But it's reliable, and I have handloads that can take down anything in North America. I don't have to settle for squirell, I can feast on moose :D

I hunt almost exclusively with a shotgun and eat a lot of game. As long as the game is properly handled and cleaned there is no problem what so ever. A common misconception is that if the guts are ruptured the meat is automactially tainted, that is not true at all, it is true, however, that the meat will spoil a lot faster if the gut is ruptured and the animal not gutted and washed out promptly. Chris

Thanks. I don't come from a hunting family.

I wonder how a 410 with choke, circuit judge or the judge would pattern, or with a longerish barrel?

Not that this would be Super helpful, but anway
