Mora Garberg. Great design, price, steel, and long enough to reach to the bottom of the PB jar.

Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
I've seen that one before...hard to come by. I'm intrigued. The Condor Crotalus is a solid survival knife. Easy to sharpen, thick enough to pry with, good locking sheath, and under $100.
Thanks for a useful response---not many of those on this forum.
To me a survival knife is whatever knife you have when a survival situation occurs (which can't usually be predicted in advance).
So obey Rule #9 !
I agree. We don't get to pick when an emergency occurs. The best survival knife is the one you have on you when things go south.
You're welcome to try elsewhere but I think you'll get the same responses if you post in the same manner. Thanks for a useful response---not many of those on this forum.
Yes , the pics! Still nowhere to be found. And he wonders why people call him a liar. Him and Paratrooper06 are a couple of bullshitting buffoons. You're welcome to try elsewhere but I think you'll get the same responses if you post in the same manner.
How are those pics coming? You sure have enough time to make new threads and post snark. Do you need help posting pics? There are plenty of guides available. This one has a bunch of info: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/how-do-i-post-pictures-from-a.1394713/
As for taking pictures, I'm hoping you have a smart phone. With those you pretty much just point and shoot. Then, follow the guide above.
My suggestions:
ESEE 4: I've seen several in your price range, and they make excellent outdoors knives.
Buck: Buck makes several fixed blades of various sizes and models around your price point
TOPS: TOPS makes several fixed blades, though they tend to be 4 inches or under around your price point
Cold Steel: Master Hunter in 3V (just for grins)
Ontario Knives: Ontario has several that are actually below your budget, and are definitely worth checking out.
I can't really speak to specific models too much other than the ESEE, because virtually all of the fixed blades I would (and do) carry in the woods cost quite a bit more. No shame in having a budget, I'd just pick whatever fit my hand the best, and was a good balance of "cuts well" and decent materials. I don't tend to abuse my knives, so blade steel is probably a bit less important than ergos and grind for me.
If things go south, the knife I have on me or in my truck for that day, would be the least of my concerns. No IMO, we want to see knives dedicated for survival! Not knives you have on you if shit hits the fan.
In that case I'd be stuck with this:

Not much forum entertainmant in that!

I gotta say, there are a few members here that have made myself and Lasador their reason for living.. and it is pure entertainment. Do you even āknifeā anymore or do you just log on looking for posts from Lasador and me?Yes , the pics! Still nowhere to be found. And he wonders why people call him a liar. The Bk2 would still have a point, it's on the end of the blade. If you own an ESEE 5, the BK2 is pointless
If youāre gonna act like you know everything then be prepared to take some flak , goofball. Thereās a reason why so many people here are not fans of you and your significant other Lasador.I gotta say, there are a few members here that have made myself and Lasador their reason for living.. and it is pure entertainment. Do you even āknifeā anymore or do you just log on looking for posts from Lasador and me?

Since you didnāt seem to care for me sharing the only actual āsurvival knifeā I own, hereās what I actually carry on my hunting pack. The knife is a Buck Pro-line Zipper that is approaching 25 years old and has processed game of all sizes. Itās the only knife Iāve ever batoned and I used a claw hammer to do it. The hatchet/knife combo is a Gerber I got roughly 13-14 years ago (after the batoning incident) and, try as I might, I canāt seem to kill either one. The hatchet has cleared numerous shooting lanes and limbed multiple trees to help get my climber in place. Iāve got roughly $100 in the whole setup and wouldnāt trade it for any $100 knife on the earth todayā¦Blade Forums never ceases to amaze me. Their members have such a wealth of knowledge about knives.
We should probably do some clarification of our survival scenario.I assume survival has more zombies.

1. IF there are zombies, are they shamblers or ragers?
