Of the five knives the OP listed, I would go with the SRK in San Mai in heartbeat! I have it's big brother, the Recon Tanto in SM and it's the sharpest knife I own!

Or 12” Tram or Martindale. Both are A good size for camp chores and light chopping, easy to sharpen in the field, and inexpensive enough to keep in your truck car or bug out bag and not be devastated if lost or stolen, so more apt to be with you when you need it.

This Rimor by Fox would sure do the job. It is very sturdy, heavy enough for light chopping, (it made quick work of the grapevines below) and short enough to make for easy carry. Some have said the blade coating shouldn't touch food. It does come in a stonewashed blade finish.

I'm in the market for a survival knife for under $100. Those persons who wish to opine on what they believe five (5) best survival knives for under $100.00, please do so. Here are some knives to start things off with: (1) Kabar Becker BK2 (can still be had for under $100, I believe); (2) Cold Steel SRK (San Mai steel); (3) Condor Rodan; (4) Gerber Strongarm; and (5) Schrade SCHF9. Obviously, this is not an inclusive list---it's just a starting point. Please keep the discussion on topic and don't forget the under $100 cap, although you're quite welcome to bring in any other knives that you think are worthy of the discussion. Thank you for your assistance in this endeavor.

I would cast my vote for a Sog Seal Pup or a Gerber Strongarm. No, they aren't super steels or giant rambo knives, but they are affordable, utilitarian, good-looking and darn near indestructible. The SRK and recon tanto are great blades too. If you're looking for a bowie, Ontario's sp 10 is the best available. Any of the sp's actually.
