Survival Lilly knife.

Look, I'm guessing it is a fine knife. Certainly looks that way. The cost is a bit high for me but the materials if done well (good heat treat on the AUS8) should perform well. But for how much it costs combined with the silly marketing it is hard to take seriously. Plus, I've seen what she does with knives. This one will get just as busted up as the rest if she continues to do the same things.
Lets take this statement from her website:
"APO-1 stands for “Apocalypse 1” or the one knife that Lilly would choose for the Apocalypse if there is only one cutting tool available."
Considering what she does with a knife and what the proposition is (the f-ing apocalypse), this AUS8 blade is hands down what she would take? Bull snot. That is, unless she doesn't know there are better options. I mean, if you are going to treat your knife the way she does, you will be far better served with a different steel. And I have nothing against AUS8. I've got plenty of knives with it. Some of my most carried and used actually. Got a few in various go bags. But I'm not delusional about what it is.
If one truly wants this apocalyptic fantasy knife used in the way survival Lilly uses a knife, you will be paying more and getting a better steel.
My recommendation and what I would choose in this fantasy apocalyptic abuse scenario:

I bought this arvensis off the exchange here for less than the Lilly knife. Far better package:
"But craytab, those knives a too expensive!" I bought both of these knives on the exchange for far less than the Lilly knife, together!
Proven heat treat. Same steel. Far less money if you know how to shop.
If you look at this objectively, her knife isn't close to what she says it is. And I ask again, in an apocalyptic survival knife abuse fantasy, how much is your survival worth? about 130 bucks to Lilly.

99.9999999% of the world's population would be just as happy with Lilly's knife as they would be with something from Carothers, Busse or Chris Reeve. Or SOG.

The apocalypse bit does sound a bit silly.
As for the knife itself, it has sort of a Fallkniven and/or CS SRK vibe. Not sure Id recommend the APO1 over any of those.
I agree with the CPK being even better for a fantasy apocalypse scenario than any of the other knives mentioned in this post.
Id certainly take my CPK HDFK over both the APO, Fallkniven or SRK no matter the scenario.

I dont follow said Lilly but she must have quite a base of YT followers etc to bring the APO knife to market with the plethora of relatively cheap alternatives.

Remember, "Survival" Lilly, her big thing is car camping. Watched a few of her videos, some of which cracked me up, and then exited out back to others with real survival training and experience. If you make a video titled "Here are my bushcraft clothes" and they're all high-end hiking clothes, yeah, your credibility is zero. Kind of like stating that a Taiwan AUS-8 knife which takes 100% of its design cues from other knives which did it first (and better) is your end-of-the-world knife of choice. Graaaayyyyytttte jeeeerrrrrb.

As mentioned earlier, Ill suggest the HDFK over the Apo1 and a slew of other knives for a nightmare fantasy apocalypse scenario as well.
But that Difensa is a beaut. I almost caved and bought one, when I saw one FS. I managed to withstand the urge as I have another CPK on the way.
How do you rate it, are you happy with it compared to similar knives you tried out/own?

No doubt the APO will do for some people.
There are many other knives out there how ever. I wonder how well the APO sells given all the alternatives.

She does extensive knife reviews and has had her own knife manufactured. This is a knife forum where we discuss knives. She says this is the one knife she would take in a fantasy apocalypse scenario. I know for a fact that this knife isn't the best for that. Either she is blowing smoke or she doesn't know what she is talking about. Again, knife forum. We discuss them. Her position doesn't hold water.

I just now looked up the price. EUR135. Thats more expensive than both versions of the SRK. A knife which the Apo resembles. Thats going to be a hard sell, as the SRK is well established.
Supposedly, Lilly didnt care for the features of some of the knives she tried, so she wanted to make her own.
In that light its surprising, how her knife resembles several well established knives.
But more power to her for having a knife made, I guess.

The difensa is fantastic. Certainly more of a military utility knife than a woods knife. Harsey handles are top notch. Spartan really knows what they are doing with s35vn, I've had a bunch of it. Admittedly, I haven't used it as much as the HDFK because of the intended purposes of the blades. Watch the secondary market as you can get them for much less than new. Given the lineage and who it was made for, I'd think you could certainly appreciate one.
And it would kick the snot out of this Lilly knife.

Yes, no doubt more of a MIL-utility or fighter/utility knife. I like the rakish look and its a proven company. The steel as well. The ergoes looks great.
It would take second place to my HDFK as well, given the intended use of the blades. The one I looked at, was a second hand one. It would no doubt best the Apo every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

My point is, that her knife will be fine, when the world ends.
Other knives may well be better.
I will not chose her knife, when that fateful day arrives. I haven't decided on a knife yet, but I have plenty to chose from. I think my ScrapYard 711 will do the trick.
And it is quite possible, that some guy or girl, sporting an APO-1, will come to your aid, when you find out that it takes more than just a really, really, really, really, really, really good knife to make it in a post apocalyptic world.
Then again, I don't think any of us will ever find out.
