Survival magazine?

There are very few magazines that I've ever stuck to over the years. This forums is probably the most consistent media I've frequented (perhaps to much frequenting). I guess I just really like the interactive part and WSS provides a lot of what I like to read.

What would be nice are more regular contributions to gear reviews and in depth - article types of posts. I know this is impossible to control, but I really do enjoy sometimes reading the concerted efforts of many of the posters here. Not trying to name everyone but here are a few forumites that have contributed to near full fledged articles that I really enjoyed: Magnussen (firestarting and survival knives), Pict (how to videos, machete & cordage), Doc Canada (edible plants) , Brian Jones (the creative survival uses thread), Evolute (composition thread) and many others.

If each of us tried to emulate the splended efforts above, once or twice a year, we would probably have much the equivalent of a magazien without the politics and sales pitches. Well thats my take on this.

Outdoors magazine that someone linked to earlier also provides timely and good in depth articles.

Moodino please find that link for me. I am more then willing to spend the money to set up a web site today

As far as i am planning and has been talked about the Mag will be all online at first. Only after there are enough people yelling for a "real hold in your hand" mag will i think about launching one.

ps i did not mean to imply that i will take off the online site after the mag is published.

there's already an online survival mag. modernsurvival.net. Jim Benson, former editor and publisher of the now defunct American Survival Guide magazine. it's been up for a few years.

does anyone have experience with printing? If were going to start this we have to have someone print it cheaply
